When you say text opener, I'm assuming you mean you're messaging on social media. I think you'd be better off saying something like; 'Hi. I love your style.' 'You have a beautiful selfie collection.' 'Your (insert pet/hobby) is awesome. How'd you get started?' This way, you're telling her you're interested in a more conversational and playful manner. What you're currently doing relies entirely on her finding you physically attractive enough from a first impression to continue messaging.

I have in the past. At the time, my self-esteem was pretty poor, but when it improved, dealing with attractive women became much easier. It's probably worth examining your life, and working on areas that seem deficient. Try to talk platonically to a few women when you're going about your day. It'll help to take the pressure off of you when dealing with women.
