Men as a whole haven't been heavily oppressed. Unlike women or black people. Those groups both have had conflict brought on all of them in some manner. This causes them to band together and form a strong community-like infrastructure in which they can achieve common goals. Right now , men's rights is only really in the initial phase of gaining support . In a few decades i believe it has the potential to become a strong group . It's unfortunate that shared conflict is what brings people together.

I agree with a lot of that -it's more complex than it actually is and it doesn't indicate the extent of a mental illness. However, it does show that men are more determined to kill themselves. I disagree, it could be perceived as breaking social norms by giving more coverage to men and showing that they're sensitive. I haven't read the article but from the looks of that picture it looks like there wasn't much room... so the headline was compressed. The likelihood is that you're probably right. Certain types of female genital mutilation have the similar or the same benefits as the typical western male circumcision. Other type of FGM also have benefits for childbirth, as some involve making a larger 'canal ' to thus ease the pain , prevent injury of the infant and potentially save the life of the mother as a c-section may no longer be required.
