I suppose they might have changed since i last saw any of them, but from what I recall they've almost always been overweight women. Not by a huge amount, but still fat. I grew up around people who worked hard, men and women. And the women pictured in the dove commercial aren't the body types that one gets from eating healthy and getting plenty of full body exercise. But if going for full on legislative action, I'd prefer they put some weight behind a singular they instead. I've lived in a lot of areas where there was a very strong predisposition to being fat in either gender. I could see it not coming out equally. In particular, I suspect that a higher percentage of men doing physical labor in their jobs would probably skew the numbers. That seems like a much better idea to me. I suspect that there'd still be a male/female difference in preference depending on the age of the kids in it, but I think it's a much better way to go about it. Label the subjects, not the kids. It's pretty insane to see it happen. A coworker, probably one of the hardest working and most dependable people I know was fighting for custody of his daughter. His wife was crazy, literally having been in an instituation. I met her once, when they were still together, and saw how nuts she was in just a few minutes of casual conversation.
