I started by moving away from my surroundings, seeing a doctor about my depression, pursuing my own interests, getting out and enjoying life. You have to learn to love yourself. If you don't love yourself and like who you are how do you expect women to? Any woman who likes you as a depressed and insecure person is likely looking to take advantage of you in some way.
