You got the right mindset but i was reading this one thing that explained the sub-concious connotation to “No” and that even when you are saying something positive, the brain still picks it up as a bad thing. Try using something like you are fine or something that expresses the same emotion as no worries but without saying “no”.

We've gone out but like i said, she is different (or at least acts that way) than any other woman i've been with, so it's like i had zero experience. Dude, focus on yourself! If you are going through a rough time, and a girl looks like the only one who can save you, I've been there too. Yet, it won't work. It has worked for me, but do keep in mind that those "tactics" shouldn't be viewed as a "key" or anything of that nature. Pretty much anything that you do would have worked anyways if the girl is attracted to you and you do it with enough confidence. Just be slow moving and take your time, Rushing/speed = Nervousness and you want to seem like you are in control of the situation (even if you aren't)

Look Man, i can tell you that it is perfectly normal and fine to not care about any of these things. You need only to worry about yourself, unless you desire otherwise. Women are always gonna be there and there is no rush to find one (or even men if you are into them).
