Yeah, I'm an anesthesiologist, but I was surprised that so little is known about it. I mean, the main article about it cites a surgical case report from 1982.

From your comment, it sounds like you're a urologist. Are you familiar with penile lymphangiosclerosis? I talked to 2 urologists who never heard of it.

Apart from if you get some rare genital condition, in which case you're screwed unless you're a medical professional so you can diagnose yourself with the help of the internet.

My country doesn't even have proctology as a separate branch.

Not to mention, there are some conditions which urologists aren't familiar with. For example, lymphangiosclerosis of the penis, you need a dermatovenerologist to diagnose that, I've spoken to 2 hospital attending urologists and they've said they never heard of it.

In my country, urologists do circumcisions.

Actually, incorrect. Urologists also cover female urinary system. For example, if a woman gets a kidney tumor, the surgeon who operates is a urologist.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
