I was actually in a situation like this. The choice I made was to not continue the FWB because I learned it would hurt my partner in the long run. I hurt this person, but it would have been far worse to continue the relationship knowing her feelings about it. It's simply being a decent human being and not being selfish.

Let me rephrase and say that I find the evidence that we are just atoms in the void more compelling. What makes it wrong? Because it harms the victim (the person who was lied to, etc.) I could argue that there are good reasons not to do it that you are capable of reflecting upon. A good indicator of bullshit for me is if a group of people make sweeping generalizations. In TRP I see a lot of "men are superior to women in every way." This is a red flag. Computer science major here. Work in that spooky military industrial complex. personally I attribute this mindset to their non strictly scientific education that makes them detached from hard facts and more slanted to blind faith in ideology. Far from it. My scientific education allows me to see past psuedo-scientific bullshit which RP is full of. There are plenty of issues in feminism and the SJW space that I also take issue with.

Get on any dating site and it is very easy to find profiles that say "I love white guys" or something similar. I have had more positive dating experiences with Asian women and Latina women than their white counterparts. I find them more easy-going. People have their preferences whether it's skin tone, cultural, wealth, etc. Just leave it at that.

I don't think philosophers have worked it out in the sense that it is true along the lines of 1+1 = 2. But there are many arguments from different philosophical viewpoints regarding it. There isn't a society today that permits murder (in the sense that I go out and chop somebody up for shits and gigs) and we have never known a society that permits theft. Every rational person agrees that these are 2 examples of something being objectively wrong.

When dealing with people under the influence it is your responsibility as a decent human being to ensure their safety and not take advantage of them. Full stop.
