Wow. Never knew that, always thought it was the other way.

Meaning that... It's as if you're saying you're too "good" for her. Like when the geek asked out a cheerleader -- most would agree that he's out of HER league.

I think I get what you're saying. Meaning... If she's acting out of line or childish to you, you should "reprimand" her accordingly. Otherwise, respond to her playfully or even jokingly.

Very good response, that makes perfect sense. I'm sure it would also depend on the tone of the voice as well, right?

Piano player of 10+ years here. Playing the piano has always helped me get the attention of girls. Saying that you can play the piano is a great ice breaker, but actually putting on a little performance for them is what really counts. I once made a girl cry from playing a piece she loved. Piano is a great hobby and passion to have, and that's what keeps women interested in you.

I was diagnosed with ADHD when I was 9, and I took Ritalin on and off until I was almost 18. I couldn't take having to deal with all the side effects and not being able to be myself. The medication hindered me and prevented me from acting who I really was. One day, I just threw out all of my pills and stopped -- easily one of the best decisions I've ever made. I got my appetite back, I had energy, and my body matured quicker ever since. I've simply learned to deal with the side effects of "ADHD"…

I stopped burning bridges with people, and I've networked a lot more with others. I'm not the super social type who has to chit-chat with every stranger I see, but I can be very social when needed. At the same time, I also enjoy being by myself; however, being with others is simply so much more natural -- now that I feel learned from TRP to be who I naturally am.

Great insight. Crazy how doing the exact same thing can be totally different solely based on your intents and desires.

When you give people so much, they only want more and more...

I stopped using Tinder myself. Far too many fake accounts and single moms.

Where do I find them, though?

Thanks again for the help. I will try my best to keep this all in mind.

Wow. That's really got me stumped. Though, what worked for me the one time was simply asking "Do you want to get coffee sometime?". She agreed, and then I asked for her number. She I just keep doing what apparently works?

That definitely makes sense. Is there anything else I can do to get a hold of them successfully? Writing down my number on a receipt?

Right, I see. And I don't understand. What would saying that line do?

Are you saying I should ask if they have an e-mail rather than ask for their number?

Yes, I understand that. I am certainly very grateful that she and my dad adopted me, but right now, she's just going through a rough time in her life, and we don't always get along. It has improved, though. Before, we would fight every week whenever I brought up little concerns. Though, now, after discovering TRP, I've realized that the less I say the better.

My mom is particularly sensitive to it, though. Anything bad at all -- she'll take it far too personally and almost always say that she's being "attacked". I cannot stand this. I know plenty of women who will admit their mistakes, but she is not one of them.

Oh, man. This is a lot to remember. I've still yet to hear back from her. I know she will most likely want to because I suggested we get coffee before I got her number. Wish me luck!

Right, right. But how much should I keep compromising if she's "busy" or has to "work"?

For any girl, really. If I set up a plan (like in the example you gave me), and she agrees but says nothing more, what do I do? You said that she has to be the one to suggest a time, right?

Oh, I did want to ask. I did exactly as you said about setting up a meeting with this one girl. I met her in person and got her number, if that makes a difference. I texted her exactly this: "Cool. Say, we should definitely get together so we can make some music together on my guitar. What say you?" What do I do when she agrees? What if all she says is "Okay!"? Or what if she asks me to give her a time?

You've definitely got a point there. I've actually met a girl off of Tinder last year who was exactly as you said: she look amazing in her pictures, but upon meeting her the first time, her face was caked with make-up, and she was a little overweight.

That's pretty messed up.

I can't believe I never thought of that. It makes such perfect sense, and I will certainly try that. I just have to remember not to give girls too much of my time. Now another question, if you don't mind helping out further... How far should sexual talk go when texting (before first meeting)? Should I sext/exchange pictures with her? Fantasize with her?
/r/askTRP08/03/15 03:19 AM

Wow. I cannot believe it was that simple of a mistake. It almost reminds me of something someone said here about "if you give a woman an inch, she'll take a mile". I will definitely implement this technique next time. However, now that I think about it... What if I do say that first line, and she says something to the effect of "I'm pretty busy" or "I'm not too sure when"? Just move on?

I followed your advice and edited my post. Again, it just doesn't make sense to me. The girls all say they think I'm cute and that they enjoy talking with me. They say they want to meet up, but they're always too busy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
