The only way you might have messed up is if you didn't tell her off and give her a piece of your mind for having no consideration before she left. Maybe you've known her a long time but some people can't be saved when they get like this and you just got to let them realize on their own and sadly lot of the times you just have to cut them out of your life. This could apply to any type of disagreement that gets out of hand, whether it be family or friend. She owes you an apology if anything from…

"I believe" No you're completely wrong, they're different. You probably haven't even lived in any of these countries nor are you a legal expert, clearly. Where I am in BC common law marriage is only 6 months, but any wealth accumulated before the relationship started doesn't count when there is a separation. Also, audio and video evidence is accepted in court (most places it isn't in these cases) but false accusations still happen all the time. The funny thing is it happens to women now too …

The way the system works in US, you're innocent till proven guilty. In countries like UK, with the way their laws work, the burden of proof lies on the accused so its the opposite. That's just how it works over there.

You're prepared, that's what matters. Even my half sisters think bad of ME, her son.... And I havn't seen them more then twice since I was 9. Can only imagine the stuff she's told them about me and my dad.

If he want's to go in this like a sheep and get cucked by his lawyer, he can do that, but it's good to know everything you can about court procedure, that way when/if the lawyer screws you, you have a leg to stand on and more importantly you'll know what's going on. My dad went threw 3, and 60k CAD, ended up representing himself... Sure you can say, "hE cOuLdnT pIcK a GOooD lAwYeR hE dUmB", but he won...

It's funny the logic, yes. But I assure you it was no joke. Where I am in BC Canada, it's harder for the woman to get sole custody over men (still unfair in courts obnviously but not guaranteed), but shit like this is still hella biased...

That's kinda lucky considering. Think that my dad was paying 175$ CAD in the 90's bi monthly, and she only had me on the weekends...

To add to what you said: good to know how to represent yourself just incase your lawyer shits the bed...

By that time, she might have conditioned the child to hate you. Just keep that in mind.

Didn't think of that. They didn't have stuff like that when my father was fighting the family courts. Hopefully they got something like that in his state.

When most people think of the "Law", they think of "justice". That's just a fallacy that sadly most people in this day and age believe, and don't question at all, that's how people like him get trapped, too much faith in humanity...

Ironically, if he hadn't paid for her degree, not only would he have some money right now, but she probably never would have been in the position to "spread her wings" and get a divorce...

Where I am they make you go on welfare if you dont have a job and need to pay child support, it get's garnished. Even with the legal knowledge I have, I'm not totally sure on that though. The laws around this kind of stuff aren't based in reality so they're purposely hard to follow...

Even after my father won sole custody with visitation rights, even though my mother kidnapped me for a month and a half, and she only had me on weekends after my dad won; he still had to pay child support and she didn't... lol

Most people here won't mention it but yes, this is how you do it. My father was always really nice with my mother after they split up even though she was a total cunt, and every time he picked me up he had his home video camera to record her interactions (along with a witness present, usually one of his friends) because he knew how she'd act. I still have the tapes along with all our family videos... It's pretty surreal seeing her the way she really is, my dad didn't show me till I was older obv…

Learn how to write affidavits, and everything you need to represent yourself because even if you get a lawyer, theres a good chance it'll be some hack. Even if they're good they might try to lose you the case on purpose, that's what happened to my father with 3 different lawyers (and 60k)...

Also something else to keep in mind as I'm guessing you care about the kid; if you have joint custody and she doesn't let you see the kid at anytime and isn't telling you where she lives, against the family court wishes (this works where I am in BC Canada) you can report it as an abduction to the police. That's how my father won sole custody over me back in the 90's.

Other guys right: both of us = the kid and her, you're just her cuck now, aand she most likely never cared about you. Maybe don't escalate things, but personally I'd say screw that and let Tyrone/Chad pay for her BS and go live in Mexico as a bartender for a few years. That's what my buddy did, when he got back the kid turned out to be someone else's. IF you are gonna get cucked, try to get cucked as little as possible.

Technically if you don't have an income, there will be nothing to take. I'd just do under the table jobs for a few years, or request to be payed half in cash or something, some employers will do that for lower, and mid end jobs. or if I you had a lot of money, divert assets into crypto so they can't be tracked, but this guy says he's broke.

Videotape/record every interaction you make from this day forward with her. It will be able to be used as evidence later.

My father spent like 60k CAD in family court, then fired his lawyer because he was a hack and won soul custody, so everyone's different. Always good to know the king's english... EDIT: think he fired 3 actually... lol

If she want's to lawyer up "in good faith", then maybe you should ask her "in good faith" for records of all the bills you paid for her, and all the tuition you payed for...

Ya, umm shit. That sounds like some BS to try and keep you unprepared. Would be interesting if you could get recording or physical evidence of her trying to say this incase she uses it against you. Would at the very least be good for the record...

Ya, it's good to see people think what he said is a bit ridiculous. But there's people on here (a woman lol) advocating for him to be silenced which is kinda messed up...

That's what bug's me about how he's saying things. He got too emotional to the point where he was actually coming across as some sort of cuck.

I think he's trying to talk about the nature of how men think in general, but it was poorly worded.

I think he's trying to say our struggle's aren't properly recognized: he even points to how him and his wife both work, but even though he makes more, people say he has a "sugar momma". Pretty bad that you're trying to slander someone as a tradcon, but that just adds to the irony. I don't agree with some parts of what he said as it seemed a bit over dramatic, but I think that's pretty unfair for you to try and silence him and say he doesn't belong here when you glossed over a bunch of the stuf…
