You know when it’s really easy to hook up, if you play your cards right? By the time you are 30-ish and can hook-up with women between 18 and 50. Right now, I would focus on understanding the cause of your problem and trying to get better. See a shrink, and start by understanding why you are f**ed up (big news: everyone is but it shows in very different ways). In the medium term, if you like women and live in a city, try to meet up with some guys from local seduction forums. 90% will be too weir…

Also, look up how to read her hand (if it suits you) and have some cool/funny stories ready.

But one day, op, you’ll read this thread and realize how much you have improved.

I think you just re-discovered something written very early in the Mistery Method... of course you’ll attract certain types of girls more depending on style, look, personality, and game (and these girls tend to be the one you are more interested in)

This. Sorry op, but cool/normal 20-something's don't go to meetup's. I would just find 2/3 cool places, become a regular, and build from there.

In short, practice. There is a lot of material online (just google pua+storytelling) which will explain it much better that I can here, but in short: 1) Have a few stories about yourself that make you sound cool (at first they will be semi-scripted, and will become natural if you do it long enough). Style had a great example, if I remember correctly: "I am a software engineer" can easily become "I am building the cell phone of the future." Just find 3/4 stories about yourself and make them sound…

I don't really know enough about autism to have an answer. What I can tell you is that some of the guys who are really into canned pua stuff (like Mistery Method) are definitely not normal, quite awkward, and maybe on the spectrum, yet they do that stuff with some results (I guess, I have just met some a few years ago but have no idea what they are up nowadays).

Good mindset, I hope you have fun! (and if not, remember this isn’t an easy task)

Personally, I would avoid it unless you two have already hooked up, or you have a couple of buddies at the same venue. If you go alone, try to pre-party with the group. I wouldn’t show up by myself and meet them outside of the club, but that’s me.

I have thought about this quite a bit in the past. The first one seems to make much more sense but is - in my opinion - a comforting lie. If you have dedicated the first 20/30/40 years of your life to be “successful” in a given field, it is hard to admit that you could have been focusing on other things and be happier. None of the guys I have met who are great with women are truly successful in their field: they have ok jobs which give them some freedom and quite a bit of free time, have decent/…

That just means you have other priorities, like doing well in school, being a good son/friend, or simply enjoying your comfort zone.

Op, if all you do is non-social stuff, it just means that you have prioritized other things. It’s ok, I have done so as well at times, but the circle is quite hard to break in my experience. Do you have friends at all (even if not in the new city)? If not, find some, that is step #1: it’s good for your health (and getting laid from social circle is much easier): read Dale Carnagie, do crossfit, use meetup, Idc but just find some. Step #2: improve, become cool, read something, find your style (bo…

Good post. My take on this, as someone who started as a teenager: if you are here regularly and focus on self-improvement, you are probably already “different” from most. This is neither good nor bad, it just is, and has probably deep roots in your personal history (family, mental health, appearance, etc). Learning game is great and will help a lot with women and with life in general, but it won’t solve all your other problems (hell, most can’t really be solved). Also, there was a nice post on t…

Op, thank you for the post. Some thoughts: 1) it’s a limiting belief, in a way (you can get laid from cold approach and once you start you don’t really stop) 2) most people have boring lifes and it’s hard to meet new people daily (so you need to cold approach) 3) and most conspicously, the # of girls can you hook up with from social circle and activities (without looking like a creep) is much smaller than the # of girls a man wants to hook up. Tl;dr: imho cold approach is harder, it’s a nice hob…

True: you don’t need game, but game really matters imho. Most people’s story: sexless, find out about the community, read a lot because it’s easier, start going out using canned routines, get some results. By the time you try some more natural stuff, you have internalized the key principles (those that really matter, like kino) and maybe a couple of routines you really like. So in the end you get laid more just using principles, but to get there you need some canned stuff.

Late but I’ll tell you my story. I was a virgin at 19 as well. Many people are. There may be various reasons, and definitely look into understanding why (saw a comment suggesting this). For me it was a wayyy fued up family and the fact that I very dedicated to my sport and had few friends. I wasn’t bad looking as well. What I did: I got into the game. Street game, specifically. I was lucky because I lived in a big city and met normal guys like me (a bit older). I got laid in 3 months. Got lucky …

Some time ago, I agreed with you. Then I have met a couple of guys who are the best I have ever seen with women, and they say “always push, you never know what is going on in someone’s life: keep in touch and see what happens, worst case she will block you.” Unbelievably, it is working for me, and I feel it is a better mindset (I take flakes much less personally now).

I really liked Mark Manson’s stuff and a more “natural” style, but I also needed a scheme when I started. At the time, the Mystery Method was the most useful book for me (based on canned routines). If you have some time you could try the StyleLife challenge by Style. It usually takes some time to get going, and imho alone is harder. Maybe you could try to go with friends or people from local forums (but you will need to find some “normal” people, some are weirdos).

That’s not exactly what I meant: it depends on your inner confidence. Also, being a tall black guy sounds a pretty good base to start. I am around 6’4 as well, and being tall helps a lot.

Yeah, he had some great advice in there before getting weird with supplements and stuff.

I would start to exercise (gym+cardio) and to get used to a more normal schedule. Consider job-hunting your 9 to 5 day-job (see r/jobs). Try to work on you social circle as well. Once you have a job and some friends you regularly hang out with, go get a girlfriend and keep working on yourself. I know it’s a bad situation, but you need to be strong. Good luck!

I have walked countless hours downtown without being able to approach during the day: what helped was to get better at night first and become more confident. Main reason for me was that I found daygame less socially acceptable/normal.

I kind of disagree with you on this, as I was the same: opening more = more practice = more success. At the gym, I would wait to randomly cross her path and comment about something gym-related (exercise/outfit/opening hours), but I agree with bricemck: not really worth it unless it happens without much effort.

I have read this somewhere on goodlookingloser and it works great for me: gently touch her elbow and just say hi/hey and smile. She will smile or say something and you are in. Full disclosure: I usually don’t do it with mixed sets (but it may work as well).

My advice would be to play it very safe when you meet someone from your social circle: women talk a lot. This is why cold approach is so important.

We overestimate what we can do in 5 days, and underestimate what we can do in 5 years.
