Sorry you went through this as well. I think you did the right thing by not stooping to her level. I also did the same and didn't start pointing out her flaws and insecurities. There is no point. We need to focus on ourselves and what makes us happy and complete.

Thanks for the support fellas. It has been tough but I have wonderful friends and family who have been supportive. I have been working on improving myself. I have headed back to the gym to lose the weight i put on during residency and getting back in shape. I am doing well with my work and in line for some career advancing opportunities.
