I’d also argue that with the whole “men want sex, women want love,” is pretty off. What a lot of women call “love,” I would call something else. Men love the woman, women love what the man provides, not the actual man. She doesn’t actually give a shit about the man. He is just the sum of what he provides her. This is a generalization, obviously, but one that is true in a lot of cases.

Yeah, and people are mistaken for thinking that I don’t think the mainline message of this movie is misandrist and self-serving for toxic feminists, I’m just saying that there is another interpretation there if you’re the type of person that likes to look for stuff like that

Hey man I’m with you, I think the broad message of the movie is bullshit and that the “patriarchy” is nonsense. I’m just saying that whether the writers meant to or not, there are underlying themes that are there if you’re the type of person that likes to look for things like that.

Look, I’m not saying that the movie isn’t misandrist on its face, which definitely matters. There are multiple ways to take this movie. I’m just saying that the movie also reflects our not-so-distant past where the Kens represent housewives of days past and the Barbies represent Mad Men-type husbands, and it’s a kind of commentary on how the genders have flipped over time so now women have over course-corrected and have become that which they used to rally against. It’s like a weird reflection o…

I swear on my life that everybody missed the point of Barbie movie by taking it at face value. There are quotes in the movie that completely support my point: Ken symbolizes women and Barbie symbolizes men. It’s flip-flopped. Writers love to put symbols and deeper meanings in stories, but we just suddenly forgot that once Barbie comes out. I will argue this point to my grave

My buddy suffered abuse in a previous relationship. Your girl is complicit! Tell her to explain herself!

It’s funny because I’ve known bi girls that say the exact same thing about dating women

Also a lot of guys have this mentality bred into them that if you’re not married then you’re a loser. I had a 23-year-old good buddy of mine that proposed to a monster of a woman. Wanting to be good friends to the guy, me and some other friends of his voiced our concerns to him about his fiancé. I normally wouldn’t say a DAMN THING and would keep my nose out of other people’s personal relationships, but his fiancé was THAT BAD. We were really tactful about it and we didn’t ambush him but we did …

Yeah dude. As a man, affirmation and affection are so scarce that we can often be easily manipulated with these things. It’s men’s biggest weakness. I’ve always felt that that’s the most important realization a man can have about himself.

I’ve always wondered how much less men would earn each year as a whole if guys just didn’t have any interest in finding a mate or getting married. For example, I’ve always wondered how many finance majors would have been music majors had the need to get laid and attract a mate been a non-issue. I really feel like the need for female attention plays a huge role in a lot of guys’ career paths

This might be unpopular, but I’ve always thought that in a divorce the assets should be split by how much each person contributes, not just an arbitrary 50/50. I think the 50/50 split is too outdated for modern times and that it would be better for men as a whole if divorce proceedings underwent some serious modernization. In your case it kind of sucks because you’re disabled but as a whole I think it would be a HUGE step in the right direction if we did away with the 50/50 aspect of marriage an…

Yeah honestly I was a bit unsure and was just wondering what being grabbed by the hair feels like.

Every time I see something negative about “all men” I have to remind myself that it was most likely written by a child or college-aged girl. Reddit is full of kids now. A lot of these younger generations of girls have been told their entire life that women are oppressed and that men are evil. That’s all they know. They have no ACTUAL life experience with these things, no REAL knowledge; they’re just repeating nonsense they read on some feminist blog or heard within their friend group.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
