Thank you for showing I’m not crazyThis really is a great community. I’m very glad this exists and I really hope the vitriol online starts calming down, cause it’s causing a lot of pain (for men and women) | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 04/04/25 10:51 PM
Ya know, I'd love to be a feminist again, I'd love to advocate for women as I did before, but goddamn it, these mfs aren't making things any easier, and everytime I decide to go back to feminism, I see shit like this and say to myself "Nah, Fuck it,"I don’t know why you’re getting downvoted. Some people here are seeking to minimize and downplay women’s issues, perhaps because men’s issues have been downplayed for so long. That still doesn’t justify it and it ultimately hurts our cause. | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/12/24 08:43 PM

It is true it happens to men much, much more often than people realize, and male victims are dismissed more readily than female victims, but we shouldn’t be over exaggerating the data to garner more sympathy or demonize the other side. This ultimately hurts our own cause. Women are more likely to be sexually assaulted, but it happens every day to men… | /r/EverydayMisandry | 30/12/24 08:41 PM |
So are generalizations bad or not? That professor Neil guy sucks. His post for international men’s day was about a guy who was feeling guilty for being a man, due to feminist messaging. He basically responded by saying women have a right to fear and hate men. He’s a prick | /r/EverydayMisandry | 16/12/24 11:06 PM
Emotional mutilationCan you elaborate on the biology comment? Because I see no basis for that | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 10/12/24 02:37 AM
Experience during youth as a left wingI was in High School for all four years of Trump’s presidency in the southern U.S. I began leaning further left during that time, lots of discussion over school shootings and sexual assault. I found the conservative environment fairly stifling, but the few other left wingers were all kind of hateful or disparaging of men, so I just kind of kept to myself. I did have a lot of civil political debates with my Dad though, who was and still is a big Trump supporter. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 11/11/24 05:10 PM
Feminist answers to male suicide and other issues.Yeah, I came here to see if anyone had seen it. Glad you addressed it | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 31/10/24 11:58 PM
Feminist answers to male suicide and other issues.I saw the same post and considered commenting on it, but figured it would be a waste of time. In that whole thread, I didn’t see one comment on how men are less likely to receive support for sexual abuse and domestic violence, and are more likely to suffer substance abuse, and all of those issues raise the likelihood of suicide substantially. But no, they just want to say men are more violent, so they use violent means, all the while making it about themselves. It’s really quite a shame. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 31/10/24 06:57 PM
