She may have a point, but pretty much every female author she lists is in their mid 30s. That puts their entire body of work at 10 to 15 years old, at most. In most curricula, the point is to pick up literature that has stood the test of time, and none of those meet the criteria. Hell, few of them are even the recipients of any awards, save one or two that were for women's lit.

I think it's less to do with political outlook and more to do with the entirety of reddit being a circlejerk. If you don't conform to the ideals of whatever subreddit you're posting in, you're going to be in the doghouse.

I'm inclined to agree with you, but the speed at which the two guys with her snap to her story (the arm around her and loudly asking if she's alright) make the whole thing look practiced.
