While a mother's milk is great to provide to their baby, if a mother is unable to breastfeed, there are other options. My “feminist” head of physics put me down all the time, time to stop complaining about sexism in STEM. Here is a good example. Higher education wants to reflect the population as a whole, especially public institutions. The SUNY system, which is the largest state run college system in America, is currently 54.4% (230,761) female. That is a higher percentage than the actual state population of females of 51.6%. Majors for careers that are traditionally female, still have a higher percentage of females than majors that are traditionally male.
