I think you're exaggerating the effect that this has on the real world. In reality (or at least my reality) apathy rules. "You're not what we want for this position. Oh you're a woman? Cool, you're still a shit candidate." "Oh you're female? Great, still don't like you." "Oh you're female and broke? Rent is still due at the end of the month." So what if the media loves females? I'm still treated like everyone else.

Okay so women are people. People have friends. Women have friends. The point I was trying to make was that women are liked for who they are constantly, it's wouldn't be that new of a thing for them.

Wow that's a whole nother issue. But how do you explain females being friends. I like her for who she is and she likes me for who I am. I don't know why you think it's such a foreign concept to us. Edit: added "to us"
