| 6 | Mediation going well until called off out of the blueI gave in to 95% of their demands, tolerated them suggesting lies about the marriage, finally decided on a line in the sand that was STILL awful for me. Everyone walked out no possible solution, the mediator was quite frustrated with them by the end. Since then I've done some more research on Utah case history, and it looks like perhaps it was good I walked away from it. Still not sure as i'm still waiting on temp order hearing and possibly court, but they were demanding about 200,000 in alimony… | /r/Divorce_Men | 23/08/23 02:56 AM |
| 1 | She wants to get a mediator. Settle this without getting messy with lawyers.I don't know where else to post this exactly, but you seem to have a similar situation, but are more positive than me. Mediation failed because we couldn't agree on alimony, I went up to 3 years, she wanted 8 years. I'm struggling to find the strength to go on with life right now because I just don't see a promising future if i'm losing so much of my income for 8 years AFTER losing half of all the assets. | /r/Divorce_Men | 14/07/23 09:40 PM |
