I think if you were to make a Venn diagram been conservatives and red pill, where they meet in the middle is a realist perspective rather than an idealist perspective. Red pill is a cynical ideology because it involves recognizing hard truths, that's where the overlap with conservatism is. Seems to have gotten slightly better in the last year, seems many are moving out of Italy and deeper in to Europe.
