Lol sure, use that line next time someone hits you with donut and you retaliate by hospitalizing someone....see if your claims of "perceived danger and threats" justify your actions. You will end up in prison. Just like this guy will. Now if she hit him or continued to attack him....then it would be understandable. No judge or jury would buy the lie that this guy "thought he was in danger" when he was lightly splashed and his shirt got wet.

Its only self defense if you are in danger. This guy was in no danger. You are getting your misguiding thoughts about "defending your own honor cause no chick can punk me" attitude with the legal definition of self defense. This is the definition of a sucker punch. Punching an unsuspecting person that is turning to walk away from you. Its the exact definition of sucker punch.

No! But you cant assault someone for throwing a drink at you. She was in the wrong initially. But that dude can be sent to prison because he committed felony assault at the minimum. If she ended up in critical condition...attempted murder. Plenty of people have been convicted of attempted murder/2nd degree murder because of 1 punch. You are not legally justified to seek revenge. This was not self defense on his part. He was in NO danger. He could have walked away. He chose to escalate.

I think you forgot what it was. This was just a guy beating up a girl. He was in no danger and was not legally or ethically justified to assault her that way. I love this sub, but this one doesn't belong here.

I like this sub a lot and agree with most posts on here. But that low life throwing a sucker punch just cause a drink got thrown at him? That punch could have killed her. Now if she was throwing punches at him...whole different story. All she deserved was a drink thrown back in her face. Oh well.....lets see how tough his scrawny ass is when he's doing a few years in prison for felony assault.
