I recently went on a date [29M) and when she asked where I lived and I said “at home” with family I could already tell it was an uphill struggle and this completely swayed her interest in my opinion (which is fair enough )didn’t get a second date but It really bugged me that i don’t know for sure whether my chat was bad or the living at home was an instant deal Breaker. I have some friends who always want to do something expensive or cool or go to some completely overpriced bar/restaurant on their birthday just for a picture ‘for the gram’ and often I’m just disappointed that the event was more about demonstrating ‘social value’ and ‘having a great time’ on social media then actually living in the moment and having a good time. Society/ social media has brainwashed us to think that having a glossed up super exciting social media life and essentially keeping up …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
