That's sad... some people really don't deserve to be teachers. You have to have a passion for helping every child reach their potential, no matter what. If you don't have that drive and passion, you have no business shaping young minds like that. Grades can mean a lot to kids. A high grade or positive reinforcement can give them confidence to pursue their studies, and keep learning, while bringing their grade down because of their gender will only discourage them and make them think they aren't …

Oof... That is... That's... Illegal, I think. I'll have to read up again on the APST, (guidelines, rules and standards for teachers in my country) but I'm pretty sure that's something that should never happen. I remember one of my high school teachers mentioned that he went as far as to not look at the name on an assignment until writing the final feedback comments. The grade itself was thus for an anonymous student, and your prior work, behaviour, or other factors could not play a part. He did …

As a pre-service teacher, this is revolting. A teacher can never tell a student that they are wrong, only question their evidence. If a student came to me to tell me all about how oppressed women are in modern society, I woukd ask them to write me the essay, and show me valid sources. A teacher should never change a student's opinion. Thy should encourage then to think for themselves. A great quote, by a great teacher. "My job is not to teach you what to think. It's to teach you how to think."

Yeah, thanks for that heads up. And I wouldn't really describe it as a religion. I'd say cult. Think about it, here's a link to a page describing the characteristics of a cult. https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2014/06/the-seven-signs-youre-in-a-cult/361400/ 1 Oppose critical thinking. Definately. That's the whole point of this discussion. 2 Isolating members and penalizing them for leaving Can see that in any woman that rejects them. 3 Emphasizing special docterines Not too sure, but…

Damn. Do these people have no lives?

It's amazing that they get anyone to join them if they keep shutting everyone out. I guess the only people in there are teenage girls wanting to cry about how hard their life is because one guy said something kinda doushy, and they want to blame all men for it and exaggerate it out of proportion.

Oh, so perhaps it was when I commented on a post about a girl worried that her friends were being too submissive to their boyfriends. I responded with a explanation of the development of the adolescent brain, because I'm studying it at university, and basically explained that before 25, on average, the Prefrontal Cortex is not developed, so reasoning and logic isn't really there. So to make up for it teens rely on the reward and emotional centres of the brain. Basically that they may be focusing…

Damn... some people really like their victim complexes... I just pity them... they're so immature and desperate to be special and oppressed. They can't live healthy lives like that...

Yeah, pretty much. Except it was the Informaty rule or something? And I know for a fact that I did not say anything factually incorrect. So I think they get Fact and Opinion confused.

Those mods have way too much free time if they go looking through a redditor's history to ban them before they do anything. You'd think they should judge you on your actions in that sub, but I guess not.

Yeah, I'm a woman too! You'd think they'd try to convert me or something, but apparently not.

That's unfortunate. I really was just looking for civil discussions to understand their views. But I guess they aren't open to that.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
