Difficult to accept the OP, but I'd like to offer an alternate theory of "Pair Bonding". It generally applies equally to men and women. Pair Bonding would say that we are most loyal to the first individual that we are romantic or have sex with. We "feel" strong togetherness with that person. Perhaps activating a chemical in the brain. And after that first relationship breaks, every person we have sex with after, we have less and less ability to "feel" pair bonded. So if someone asks how to prepare incase they're involved in a car accident, your advice would be "if you have to ask, then you shouldn't drive"? Well I'm sorry but that's not gonna cut it. If women were better at "cooperative" development, then shouldn't we see a higher percentage of women working in Open Source technologies? From what I've seen, there appears to be an even lower percentage of women in Open Source development than in general IT.
