The one condition I know of that benefits from circumcision is phimosis. But that's still not the first thing that's done. It can be treated with other means first, with circumcision being a last resort.

Shut the fuck all the way up. A woman taking a terrible action does not mean every woman will take that same action. Painting literally half the world with a broad brush because of the actions of an extreme minority is fucking stupid and you need to drive those moronic thoughts out of your head.

The summary at the top says "her daughter," but the full article says "the ex-couple's child" a couple times.

The word grooming was used here because that accurately describes what she was doing. Grooming a child is warming them up to you, ramping up the sexualization of their encounters, and getting them to be accepting of predatory behavior.

From what I can tell you posted in the right sub when you posted it in Unpopular Opinion. But also, good lord, keep that trash outta here. You weren't mocked for being against circumcision. You were mocked for the ridiculous notion that women should boycott sex from circumcised men as a way to stop circumcision. Big difference.

Kids with no fathers are much worse off. Article itself is about the transplant of elephants between preserves. The adult males couldn't be airlifted, so they took adult females and juveniles. Without the adult males teaching and keeping them in check, the younger males were chasing down and trampling/goring rhinos to death.

Nothing to gain except the $750,000 raised on Gofundme, all the atrention gained from being the centerpiece of a national media campaign, and who knows what else given/offered behind the scenes. There is a big distinction between complacency and rational thought given to a problem. In years past, there was complacency, but in the past couple years there has been a major surge in men standing up for themselves. There is still a long ways to go, but the wheel is starting to turn.

Donating sperm is a little different than fertilizing and freezing an embryo though. They are both donations of sorts, but with sperm donorship, you are generally compensated for your semen and remain pseudo-anonymous (they may not get your name, but get some relevant stats). F&F an embryo in cases like this is done with a specific person.
/r/MensRights13/06/15 01:26 PM

I don't know if the contract has been released, but it makes the most sense since they were in a relationship. You tend to fertilize the eggs that you plan on raising as your children. So I don't know if that is 100% the case here, but between his attempt to stop her from using the frozen embryos, and how things work the majority of the time, there is a high probability that this is the case.
/r/MensRights13/06/15 12:58 PM

He consented to create the embryos, fully knowing that they were her last chance at a biological child He consented with the intention that if they were used, he would be the father to the children. That is no longer the case and he withdrew consent for them to be used.
/r/MensRights13/06/15 12:28 PM
5

To top it off he only agreed to create and use those embryos if he was going to be the father to any children born from them. He will likely never even see these children or even know they exist. *Well, until the day comes where she needs assistance, has demanded child support from the "father," nobody tells him, and he is arrested for being $20k behind in support payments. Completely hypothetical, but not totally unrealistic.

His third child was born after he turned 18. Based on the timeframe given by the article, the abused kid is now somewhere near 25. The judge said the woman, who was in her early 20s when she began a sexual relationship The judge said the woman — now aged in her 30s and married with a further two children So I suspect she is now ~35 and started at ~22. A gap of somewhere close to 13 years.

There is a huge difference between mockery and comedy though. What has been happening is mockery. Mockery by default is meant to drive people down and disparage them. Comedy is an uplifting force that puts things into a perspective that allows the person to see their faults without resorting to base level mockery. What we have had is mockery guised as comedy. Besides that, most of the jokes they use in sitcoms and the like where most of the mockery lands are poorly written, poorly timed, and mea…

I'd argue that this is the perfect time to be joking about domestic violence. The second part that usually follows, "It's all fun and games until someone loses an eye. Then it's hilarious." What is there to be gained by standing on opposite sides and yelling at each other about it? That is all that is happening right now. We yell at them "UH HUH!" then they yell back "NUH-UH." We accomplish nothing. Being able to take the "NUH-UH" and turn it around on them and make everybody laugh, especially t…

I like this sub, I really do. It brings to light many problems, but this kind of post is a nuisance. It was 100% obvious that it was a joke. If you don't like it, don't watch it. Some people here take things way too seriously.

In this case? Yes. It was a video from funnyordie, a comedy site. Posted to their humor section. This wasn't meant as a realistic scenario. If it were the opposite genders, I would still think it was funny.

If a sperm donor can be chased down for child support, a sperm donor should be able to get parental rights in the right circumstances.

Oh, well that makes it a bit different. Yea, hr was stupid. He offered a compliment, as crude as it was, but I don't think that warranted a ban. If you put something on display, you need to realize people will look and people will comment. Getting yourself worked into a tizzy when someone says something and moves on is an over reaction. Now, if the person gets physical, that's a whole new can of worms.

Eh going to what amounts to a sensitivity panel and yelling out a comment that is exactly one of the things they are trying to stop? That should be a one way ticket home.

There have been a number of cases where the man was convicted on her word alone. Hell, you don't even need a conviction to ruin somebody's life, look at Duke.

It should never be about having 100% balance between men and women in a particular job. It should always be allowing everybody to have the same opportunities to do those jobs and holding everybody to the same standards in those jobs. If more women want to be miners, they are allowed to. If more men want to be professional home cleaners, they are allowed to. Legally at least. There are still vast social pressures keeping people out of certain jobs, teaching is a good example of men being socially…

Not really, but in many cases a store policy like that can't truly be enforced if you refuse. I rarely let anybody inspect my bags when leaving a store, especially if there is any sort of line to do so. I've heard from several LP personnel that they can't do much outside of calling the police. They can ask you to stay, but in some cases they can't use force to detain you.

Agreed, but an allegation of abuse is still worth looking in to. If it is true, we've helped someone in need. If it is false, what harm is it in having the information in more places?

If you commit a crime drunk, you still committed a crime. Getting drunk is a choice, and everybody needs to live with the consequences of their choices.

After reading the article, I'm OK with it. She isn't asking for half of the total, she isn't asking for a percentage of the whole thing even. They figured out about how much he was expected to make during the time when they were still married, she is asking for half of that plus the money she put forth defending him. That coupled with the fact that he initiated the divorce? Not terribly unreasonable.

Because only men seem to be held accountable for their actions. It's rarely, "they both got drunk and things happened." It's usually, "they both got drunk and he took advantage of her."
