This has been the most effective International Men's Day in history, and feminists were the reason. It is now almost 11pm and I have seen NOTHING about it in media or social media. I'm pretty sure only a few or maybe even nobody out of my ~400 friends of Facebook know that it is happening today. I wrote a lengthy post about it right now, also mentioning the whole York university thing. I may not be the best writer but I hope people read it and I hope people will start discussing it in a mature way. I know I have some feminist friends on Facebook and it will be interesting to see if any of them… | /r/MensRights | 19/11/15 09:50 PM
This has been the most effective International Men's Day in history, and feminists were the reason.Yes, I will post something on Facebook later tonight to point out why it is important and express how sad I am that it is not mentioned more. | /r/MensRights | 19/11/15 12:33 PM
This has been the most effective International Men's Day in history, and feminists were the reason.I have been keeping an eye open here in Sweden for any signs of the IMD. So far I haven't seen or heard anything at all. I tried searching on one of the biggest newspapers' website and got no results. Tried another one and found two articles, both anti-IMD questioning if it's even worth celebrating. | /r/MensRights | 19/11/15 12:21 PM
My university just cancelled plans to celebrate mens day because "gender equality work should continue to be on the inequalities faced by women"Signed it! | /r/MensRights | 18/11/15 12:28 PM
My university just cancelled plans to celebrate mens day because "gender equality work should continue to be on the inequalities faced by women"True equality would be supporting both international women's day and international men's day, regardless of what gender you are. We will never be able to get our point across if we protest women's day celebration. It is just immature and works against both them and us. | /r/MensRights | 18/11/15 12:22 PM
Female equal rights activist in Sweden says fathers don't need a Fathers day, because they simply don't deserve it.He never mentioned that those 50% were income taxes. I don't know where you live but 29% sounds pretty low. Let's say you pay on average 32% income tax, then you have 68% left. Let's average the VAT to 22% (books and certain food has lower VAT, right?). Take away 22% of the 68% you had left and you get ~53% left. Then you pay alcohol tax, taxes on cigarettes, taxes on gasoline and other things so I think it is a good estimate to say you pay 50% taxes or more. | /r/MensRights | 09/11/15 06:46 AM
Female equal rights activist in Sweden says fathers don't need a Fathers day, because they simply don't deserve it.I paid ~34% income tax when I was working a couple of years ago. Then on top of that whenever you want to spend your money the VAT is 25% on most things. We also have skyhigh taxes on alcohol. I think in the end it adds up to around 50%. Also, remember the arbetsgivaravgift or whatever it is called. Say, if you make 30000 per month your employer pays another like 20% or whatever it is on top of that so you "cost" the company ~36000 per month and after taxes you get only like 20000. | /r/MensRights | 08/11/15 06:41 PM
Finnish Log BuildingVery interesting to see, especially how accurate they are with their hand tools. My father inherited a Finnish log cabin around fifteen years ago. It was located in Finland but with the help of his uncles he disassembled it and shipped it to Sweden where we live. He then assembled it again up in the mountains, added another floor to it and now it is our winter house. I remember when I was a kid and I would join my dad over the weekends, help him carry the smaller logs and the small round wooden … | /r/MGTOW | 17/10/15 11:45 AM

UK: Girl, 14, charged after video of boy being punched in the face by foul-mouthed attacker is viewed 2.5million times. Boy praised for not retaliating. When I was in Sydney I met two French guys at the hostel. The three of us and some other people were sitting in the common room talking and suddenly to topic of pilates comes up for some reason. One of the French guys have no idea what it is so he asks the other French dude in French what "pilates" is. The other French guys responds just responds "pilates" in a very French-sounding way and suddenly the other French dude understands. Absolutely hilarious and we were all laughing for a minute or t… | /r/MensRights | 21/05/15 01:22 PM

Boko Haram killed 105 men, and one woman protecting her grandson. Why does no one cares when its only male victims (2014)Men are "supposed" to die in battle. That's the old stereotype. Therefore, if men get killed in these unsafe areas they are just seen as "men of war" since they were in that area to begin with. That's why nobody cares. Women and children however are not "supposed" to die in battle according to the old stereotypes so when they get killed it's a tragedy. That's the only reason I can come up with. I'm really bad with putting thoughts and ideas into words but I hope you get what I am trying to say. | /r/MensRights | 05/02/15 05:12 PM
Do NOT wear red tomorrow, or people will think that you buy into the wage gap theory.Had a discussion about something similar here in Australia with my host family. Two young guys that were in education for the military came over for dinner one night to my host's house. We started talking about the tests they have to do to continue the education. For an example running a certain distance with a certain weight for a certain time, or being able to load a certain weight over a certain height. The requirements for women were much lower than the requirements for men. Both me and the … | /r/MensRights | 08/04/14 07:17 AM

A short list of some common men's issuesWait... Wikipedia as only source? Wouldn't it be better to use a more "reliable" source? I'm not complaining, just telling you before somebody comes in here saying it's invalid because it's from Wikipedia. | /r/MensRights | 16/01/14 09:25 PM

Let's see what happens... (x-post from imgur)This is what I like with the men's right movement. We are open minded and see the truth. Not like the feminist movement that refuses to accept that men have problems as well (maybe not as many as women though). Indeed we must stop fighting eachother and instead fight for equality. I don't feel that bad about the incident. I mean, this is the second time I'm with a girl, first time in bed with one, so in that way it was ok. But the thing I didn't like was that she was so "on top of me" so to spea… | /r/MensRights | 25/09/13 09:55 PM
Let's see what happens... (x-post from imgur)I was drunk. Left the shitty nightclub at like 2:30 or so in the morning. Standing with my friends waiting to go home. We don't go because one of my friends is talking to some guy. Somehow I walk away from them and end up talking with a girl. She seems nice (that's what I though then) and we keep talking for a while end end up outside a fish&chips shop and we share some with another guy. I say I should get back to my mates and get the taxi home together with them. She says I can stay at her plac… | /r/MensRights | 24/09/13 07:58 PM
