It is now almost 11pm and I have seen NOTHING about it in media or social media. I'm pretty sure only a few or maybe even nobody out of my ~400 friends of Facebook know that it is happening today. I wrote a lengthy post about it right now, also mentioning the whole York university thing. I may not be the best writer but I hope people read it and I hope people will start discussing it in a mature way. I know I have some feminist friends on Facebook and it will be interesting to see if any of them…

I have been keeping an eye open here in Sweden for any signs of the IMD. So far I haven't seen or heard anything at all. I tried searching on one of the biggest newspapers' website and got no results. Tried another one and found two articles, both anti-IMD questioning if it's even worth celebrating.

True equality would be supporting both international women's day and international men's day, regardless of what gender you are. We will never be able to get our point across if we protest women's day celebration. It is just immature and works against both them and us.

He never mentioned that those 50% were income taxes. I don't know where you live but 29% sounds pretty low. Let's say you pay on average 32% income tax, then you have 68% left. Let's average the VAT to 22% (books and certain food has lower VAT, right?). Take away 22% of the 68% you had left and you get ~53% left. Then you pay alcohol tax, taxes on cigarettes, taxes on gasoline and other things so I think it is a good estimate to say you pay 50% taxes or more.

I paid ~34% income tax when I was working a couple of years ago. Then on top of that whenever you want to spend your money the VAT is 25% on most things. We also have skyhigh taxes on alcohol. I think in the end it adds up to around 50%. Also, remember the arbetsgivaravgift or whatever it is called. Say, if you make 30000 per month your employer pays another like 20% or whatever it is on top of that so you "cost" the company ~36000 per month and after taxes you get only like 20000.

Men are "supposed" to die in battle. That's the old stereotype. Therefore, if men get killed in these unsafe areas they are just seen as "men of war" since they were in that area to begin with. That's why nobody cares. Women and children however are not "supposed" to die in battle according to the old stereotypes so when they get killed it's a tragedy. That's the only reason I can come up with. I'm really bad with putting thoughts and ideas into words but I hope you get what I am trying to say.

This is what I like with the men's right movement. We are open minded and see the truth.
