A fair enough point, I suppose it really depends on the angle you look at it. And to add onto your point, a deviation from normal could be seen as good or bad. I mean gemstones certainly aren't 'normal' rocks, but that doesn't mean your wife would prefer a granite ring.

The problem with this is that by considering heterosexuality "normal", you're calling homosexuality and bisexuality "abnormal". In reality, they're both perfectly normal, hetereosexuality is simply more common.

In addition to everything that's already been brought up, I draw issue with the description "Trying to display evidence that ________". We don't have any archaic "unwanted penetration" definition of rape here in Canada. We have sexual assault, which is "sexual contact with another person without that other person's consent". Its a much better definition which allows for much more gender equality.

This really sucks, and I really hope that people focus on the woman who put him there rather than the legal system causing a delayed release. She was a malicious bitch who ruined his life, the system is just there to ensure that everything is 100% cleared before it things follow through.
