This is a sad group of men who do not want to look in the mirror and own up to their role. I want my kids to have a good relationship with their dad. He is the only dad they have. My relationship with him has nothing to do with theirs. This sub Reddit is just a bitch session where men can blame others. Truly sad.

You are sadly mistaken. I didn’t say a word. I have taken the high road through out the divorce and have not maligned him. My oldest, who is 24, told me how much she appreciated that I did that because it has been really hard on her. My second oldest, 22, told me she steers the conversation in another direction. It’s really unfortunate that you jump to these conclusions. It’s like the political divide. Each side is bad. That is not true. Both sides have bad people and good people. But the bad pe…

Thank goodness my kids were old enough to tell the GAL they did not want 50/50 despite what their dad said.

This has not been my experience at all. It has been all about my need to remove myself from a toxic relationship. My kids and I are much better off now. I have regained my identity and my self esteem. My kids are learning who their dad really is and how to accept that. The real fight is about him still trying to be right no matter who he hurts in the process. And me protecting my kids and helping them understand his behavior.

You are missing the point that your kids will know what you are doing to make their mom’s life more difficult. Believe me, kids know. Saving yourself a few bucks will not result in a good relationship with your kids. They don’t care, they just want to be in the home they grew up in.

I found a note one of my daughters had written before I even filed asking if we were divorced yet. Kids know.

You do realize that he gets half too? Of whatever investments she has, and equity she builds. I am curious because my STBXH pretended he knew nothing about the equity in the house I had before we got married so I got none of it. Women get screwed too. I should have had a prenuptial but I didn’t think we would end up divorced.

If you are in a community property state, any increase in the investment account is community property. But the amount you go in to the marriage with is not.

Wish my kids dad felt that way.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
