My husband and I were long distance for a bit over a year and towards the end we had what we call "zoom fatigue". Still to this day we call it the Z word (and include a trigger warning as a joke) lol. Over time, the constant technological use was getting to us and it wasn't related to our feelings about each other or the relationship at all.

I engaged in sex before marriage prior to coming to Christ and after that, only entertained or dated Christian men. My husband (we met 2021) was absolutely okay with my past and saw me being born again / very serious about my new faith as a huge plus. It was a conversation we had very early on and we were both on the same page about waiting till marriage.

Yeah! My first serious, long relationship ended when I was 21 and I stayed single for 4 years after that. Wondered if I had hit my "wall" and was doomed to settle... but now I'm 27 and a SAHW to a Godly, loving husband. I look back and I'm glad I didn't operate from a place of fear :)

Are you me? Did I make this post? 🙈 I’m also going to work on the oversharing! I feel like Ive gotten carried away and maybe shared too much during girl talk with a friend about my relationship (all good things about him/ us but unnecessary). My boyfriend and I are together very frequently but I also feel like I talk more and maybe overwhelm him with details lol. So going to work on that!

Oh this gets on my nerves so much! What I do is try to bring the argument down to tangible things and ask for examples. So they’ll say something like “they’re cheaters (exes), liars (fathers), rapists (some college frat in the news), disgusting, manipulative and get away with it” to which I respond “women do that as well” and then go on to make concrete examples of women “being trash” and men being awesome. I try to come across as kind and understanding cause they’re truly just victims of femini…

Hey there! Sorry in advance if I make any mistakes, english is not my first language. A couple years back my (ex) boyfriend started behaving the same way and I also decided to part ways and heal. I’d say a really important factor of a graceful breakup is to not bring fault or nag the person saying “Im ending this because you are you are you are” but handle it in a more humble and kind manner like “Im not as happy as I once was, I don’t want to drag out a relationship as it would be an injustice …

You don't have kids with this man and you yourself admit there's so much problems that even looking good felt pointless. He wants to end it? So be it. Get back up, work on yourself and make sure the 30+ year old you doesn't regret staying at 26. Your life is not over, you're getting a chance at a re-do before it actually is quite late to start over.

I'm so sorry for your losses. I don't know what your situation is, if they're death losses or people walking out of your life, but I truly hope you know that there is a God out there who loves you and will never leave you, nor forsake you. I repeat: He will never leave you, nor forsake you. I pray you and your family find rest, peace and the tiniest bit of hope that everything will be okay. Please reach out if you need help, a praying friend or just someone to vent/ cry with.

Oh, you took me back to my powerlifting days with the first one. And wow, just browsed through that sub and am shocked! It truly is NOT what it seems to be. I mostly compare myself to other “christian bloggers” lives... getting married super young, their pretty homes and flawless long hair. So yeah, their captions are great sometimes (most of the time lack biblical knowledge but thats a whole other story) so Ive decided to just unfollow all accounts who made me feel like what God’s given me is n…

I 100% agree with SM being women’s porn. Ive often seen it masked as “but its ministry! Its an evangelizing tool!” I mean yeah... but you’re not using it as that? And who is going to receive Christ because of a pretty picture of your bible with a highlighted Psalm and 7$ coffee next to it? It’s just an excuse to not repent and turn away from the obsession. Almost escapism.

Yes, I definitely am facing a "new normal" with all its highs and lows. Thankfully I quit netflix a long time ago, so im not as tempted to binge watch series. Really focusing on praying over the root of these habits and creating a spiritual discipline to tackle that. I'll apply the burpees thing to Youtube, I hate burpees hah. LOL at the snack comment. Don't come for us at 1200! I'm just a small girl with a low tdee.

Thank you so much for your kind reply :) I admit I was a bit scared to post on Reddit because communities seem a bit harsh sometimes (and I saw some flesh-y answers on other posts around here) but everyone has been welcoming and encouraging! Thank you all so much!

I've definitely come to the conclusion that social media is set up to make us fall in temptation. It doesnt help AT ALL! No plug-in, extension or "purity app" helps to make it less of a downfall. Again, praise the Lord for your obedience! I'm sure you will reap the (spiritual) fruit in your prayer life, marriage and walk with Christ.

Thank you for sharing! I also deleted apps for a couple days after realizing I was getting caught up, but I serve in the media team so had to get back on there to help out. It is definitely disheartening to see women increasing the level of... sexual intention i'd call it? in posts these days, I'm guessing out of lack of attention during quarantine. Praise God for your obedience, it truly does all work for good. Also, I had not thought about how it could be affecting my brothers in Christ, I wil…

It's so good to read you've been productively using this time to catch up on sermons. That's super admirable. I'll look up the one you mentioned, I just happened to read 2 Thessalonians yesterday. Haha, I feel like deep down I was always Team Jesus! Are you from Brazil or talking about my situation? I'm not in brazil hehe.

Running is the best, right?! It sounds crazy, till you get it. And when you get it, you get it. I LOL'd with the feminism and now quarantine comment. A couple girls in our church's group chat were talking abut the same thing haha! Amen, not anxious about anything but praying about everything :) Yay for sewing! Happy to hear (read) you're handling it well!

Yes, I've seen a couple testimonies of jews who recognized the Messiah by reading the Isaiah 53 prophecy in the Talmud. Im so glad I found it, too!

I have always been a believer in God (Yhwh) but as I got older something was missing. My (jewish) father is who guided me in my early walk with God, but he passed away when I was 11, so I went through my teen years believing in Him, but with no guidance or proper teaching of the Word. When I turned 21 I got pretty radical and decided I was going to follow God by understanding His word and I flipped open a bible without much thought and started listening to sermons about Jesus. Couple months late…

YEP... Long answer ahead... I'm a 24 year old christian girl who grew up in a jewish household (other jews consider me a messianic jew, I identify as a Christ follower), so I always lived a "straight" life: behavior wise. No men in my life, apart from 1 long-term relationship, no partying, no drinking, etc. Then I got saved and the way my current life is set up, I don't have much space or time for "sinful" habits: Full time job, getting my masters degree, marathon training, I serve 2 times a wee…

Yep, 100% spot on. The only way i successfully walked out of a draining and anxiety-inducing relationship with my dignity restored and my heart guarded was by: - Eliminating him from ALL social media. People say this is immature, I say "out of sight, out of mind" and my mind needed the break. - NO texting, only when he was bringing my box of stuff from his apartment to my house. - I did not entertain his friends who reached out through SM or any other social situation. His friends reminded me of…

Pretty late on this post, but I once heard this on a podcast: "The only thing more painful than trying to get a man to marry you, is trying to convince him not to divorce you." I´d suggest more long-term thinking. Marriage is for life and (hopefully) that is why he is putting so much thought into it, but also, is he doubtful of wanting to spend the rest of his life with you? If he's sure "you're the one", why would marriage put him off? It would essentially change nothing if you already live tog…
