And after going to the emergency room consider getting it checked out by a specialist. My father had his nose broken in martial arts, re-set in the emergency room but they did a shit job. It had to be re-broken and re-set by another doctor which he described as way worse.

My parents had me start martial arts when I was 6, and I've continued since (28 now). By the time I was 16 I'd only been in one fight in school, and I won it by taking one unexpected sucker punch to the jaw and not being phased in the slightest. Gave him the dirtiest look a 16 yr old could muster and completely intimidated him out of the fight. Being completely desensitized to taking hits really does wonders for your overall confidence. There's a fine line though between that and arrogance.

Anecdotal, but my 3 sisters are each within an inch of my mother's height, while I am EXACTLY the same height as my father. So you sound right.

I've seen that haircut countless times, but the only person I've seen pull it off is my hairdresser. Go figure, eh?

His Corporate defensive response for sitting on it for any length of time, no matter how long is along the lines of, "I wanted to do my due diligence in making sure I have the facts straight. The last thing I would want to do is accuse a key member of our organization of malfeasance"

I practiced Martial Arts for 14 years while growing up (half forced by my parents, but I admit it was fun at times). All the excessive cardio and exercise made staying in shape and fit extremely easy. Going to class 3 times a week and working out 1 to 2 times a week was all it took to keep some good looking muscle. It helped a ton in high school (though I didn't know it at the time) So I guess what I'm getting it is Martial Arts does help you get in shape and makes it pretty easy to maintain som…

Another Eagle here: Venturing is awesome. It's a good program and it let me stay a part of my troop as a participant for a few extra years after I graduated from the program. We had a few girls in our crew and because of the age (everyone in our crew was 17+) we were mature enough to see each other as platonic friends and not with sexual interest. They just acted like one of us, and we treated them the same. That's what the program encouraged. We also did a lot of day trip type stuff that the no…

Venturing isn't a mandatory program though and is not really encroaching on the majority of scouting camps and programs. The best part of scouts was getting together with the friends in YOUR troop and going camping and having fun. If you're a member of a troop then you have no Venturing crews to worry about. It's not like they're going to force you to include girls in your activities.

Spending child support on non-child related items ought to be a felony or a crime of some sort. Isn't this basically fraud? It's intended to support the child, not buy the mother things that are not required for child care. Child support should be liable to random audits, or heaven forbid some sort of yearly reconciling procedure. Receipts should be required. Billing statements, account statements, anything to prove that money spent is on the child. If you can't show where the money is going, th…

There's often a lack of accountability after the mother gets the child support payments. I am not suggesting that child support is always spent irresponsibly, but pointing out that it DOES happen and is not uncommon. Plus take into account that depending on the income of the victim, the woman receiving support may not need to work with the income coming in. The "child is the one getting the money" situation is an ideal world, but it doesn't always work out that way.

Remember to audio record any lectures (for future use while studying of course) where you may be speaking up or presenting your findings. This could be very handy later.

Then the alternative needs to be an opt-out type system. It's unacceptable to both refuse abortion for a rape AND get child support. Why should anyone be rewarded for their crime?

My best time in PE in 8th grade was 5:54 (on half grass, half run down pavement track) and we had to do mile runs weekly. It wasn't timed, we just had to at least finish within 20 minutes. The coach realllllyyyy wanted me to join the track club the second semester, but band took up all my time instead.

But what if she was drunk when she signed it? She had no idea what she was getting in to! Need a notary. GASP. WHAT IF THE NOTARY GOT DRUNK TOO?!?! It's finger pointing all the way down.

It's more of a comprehensive psychological profile. It's not like the employer was specifically asking about it and only that.

Sorry if it did come off the wrong way, that was certainly not my intention. I understand it is a real thing but it is also incredibly difficult to accurately diagnose and even more difficult to prove you actually suffer from it. It's extremely easy for people to claim they have it, fake it, then get easy scripts for it. Again, my apologies. The key word in my original post was "claims". We know she doesn't have it, just like we know she wasn't sick with the multitude of other diseases. She's a …

My brother in law has type 1 diabetes and carries around his own bag for his various medical supplies and equipment (as you can imagine, he has a lot of it). He gets this kind of treatment all the time and I'm pretty sure he's immune to it. I've pointed out this double standard to him as well on more then one occasion but he says at this point it's easier to just open it, show it and move on. He's actually had the cops called on him once as a potential druggie for having needles on him though, w…

Whether you or someone else deleted the comment isn't the issue, it's the fact that it was deleted at all. The point wasn't about WHO deleted the post but that it was deleted at all. The fact that you deleted your post is enough to verify my statement. The comment that ^ was a reply to was a post by you. It was deleted. By your obstinate denial it's plainly obvious you intended foul play or the "trollish" behavior you originally condemnded. You got called out for being a hypocrit to the idea you…

Ironic then, that you begin trolling once someone disagrees with your opinion.

You are making far more assumptions then the OP. The OP's bf was actually not assuming that the woman murdered the man, just that the potential was there. If the woman is innocent and only defended herself then there's little to no harm seperating her from the (injured!) daughter. If the woman was guilty of murder then there is potential for more harm to the daughter. Consider already the mental state of someone that just attempted to commit suicide as well. You really think that there's no foul…
