Tldr-- these things should be important to you because they directly impact your life and the lives of everyone around you.

The fact that you don't care what a potential partner's thoughts are on a global pandemic, the environment we depend on, and how they feel about the best way to handle an unwanted pregnancy is concerning and somewhat confusing. Why wouldn't you be interested in topics that are so fundamental to the health of our existence on this planet? Politics are incredibly personal and you cannot get to know someone thoroughly if you don't care about getting to know how they relate to the systems they find …

Dancing around important issues is like saying you want to get to know someone, but not really. You want to have fun with them, but not deeply get to know their mind. The whole point of relationships is to help yourself and someone else grow and learn. Why are so many people so shy of deeply engaging with each other? If someone doesn't want to keep dating you because they don't agree with an opinion of yours, then you either didn't describe your thought process clearly enough and both work to re…

A bit heavy handed... Just steer the conversation tactfully instead

Politics are personal and reveal a lot about someone. You should absolutely talk about them. Don't you want a partner you can have a solid conversation, or even a good debate, with? Don't you want to see how a potential girlfriend navigates challenging conversations that are clearly important?

I just want to meet a man who is truly grounded in himself.

Finally some common sense

That's arrogant bullshit. Why do many men constantly underestimate women's intuition? So many guys are into this manipulative gaming shit that we can identify the "tactics" right off the bat. Instead of putting on such an elaborate performance can you just take a minute to feel where a woman is at and meet her there?

This behavior is so emmediately recognizable

All the "game" language makes me cringe so hard-- it feels so inauthentic. Also, this guy came on way too hard to this girl and she gave him polite hints that he stupidly ignored either out of desperation or an inability to trust that she knows what she wants. It's so rude when guys think they can just manuever you into the position they want you to be in without actually giving a shit about what you want out of an interaction. Guys, please stop trying to sell yourselves like poor salesmen and j…

This subreddit needed this post so desperately. Thank goodness for some thoughtful, holistic advice

I'm I the only one who finds it very odd to approach in a mall? People don't expect to be approached there like they would at a bar or club. To be honest, I find it a bit cringey. It may be better to try and meet woman doing hobbies that you enjoy

Not wanting to get physical on a third date is completely understandable. Just be patient. If you enjoy her company, then see her again. If you don't, then move on

This is so manipulative. Just be genuine, open, and playful, and girls will want you

To be frank, I find all of these complements incredibly cringey. They sound like lines from old sit coms

Lol moving in with my boyfriend at 6months felt too fast. I can't imagine deciding to spend the rest of my life with someone and having kids with them at that point

Kids growing up in a home with parents that aren't attracted to each other or actively in love is a broken home. Once my parents got divorced, there was so much less tension around. I always wished they have gotten divorced sooner.

Such scientific language to talk about something as personal and emotional as developing intimacy with others. Makes me sad

Game-ifying and analyzing developing intimacy with other humans, men or women, like a strategist comes across as inauthentic and dispassionate. Simplifying your interactions with women like this does no good to you are them-- your intellect is not what needs more development here. I'd try focusing on how to simply enjoy yourself and feel connected to who you're with rather than landing more dates or 'scoring'.

This whole subreddit takes the authenticity out of dating, seduction, and human interaction.

In this scenario-- asking thoughtful questions about my travels out of genuine curiosity rather than just trying to "get milage" by turning the whole process into a corny 'game'. Guys on this subreddit have this bizarre habit of turning dating into some kind of game. Let's all just get to know each other as humans for the sake of learning about each other. Turning the whole thing into a game you win or lose isn't going to help any person involved actually grow as a human or get any closer to fee…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
