I didn't watch this video at all, but could it be possible that it's just a feedback loop between you being nervous and women being uncomfortable? You seem nervous, so women are weirded out, so you get more nervous, they're even more weirded out, etc. It used to happen to me a lot when I'm talking to someone I just met and I'm interested in. I'd say things to myself like "fuck she crossed her arms. Is she still interested?". It still happens sometimes. You just have to not care. I know this soun…

YMMV I guess, the girl I was talking to said she wasn’t sure about what she’s looking for so I said something like, “that’s too bad, I had a ring picked out and everything!”. Things went pretty well for a few months after that first date, I don’t think that joke really made a difference in either direction.

It depends entirely on your dynamic with the girl and your delivery. One time I joked I had a ring ready on a first date - if it’s very clear you’re just fucking around and you guys are already getting along it’s not a bad thing. It might even work in your favor because it shows you’re confident enough to make a risky joke

Yeah I’m not calling you a jackass and I never thought they were entirely put off by you. But there’s a very big difference between when a woman flirts for results and when she flirts for attention, and it really sounds like in this case it was the latter, especially considering she was with her boyfriend, regardless of whether he was in the immediate area or not. Although to be honest you also really shouldn’t hit on married women and I can see why someone would call you a jackass for that

Hey man, I know you got really defensive about a lot of these other comments but I respectfully think you’re in the wrong here. Look at other posts in this subreddit about success and the comments are generally supportive. The reason you’re getting shit for this is because I think what you saw from your perspective is very different from the women’s. It really seems like they were just being nice to you. It is possible that they may have been a little flirty at first, but that’s because they fel…

Yeah I agree with the sentiment of the meme but holy fuck I discovered that sub a few weeks ago and it’s so cancerous. At least here, people tend to get called out on their toxic bullshit

I don’t think he meant that nicely, you sound like a genuine asshole. Parts of this also read like a cringy Penthouse Forum submission

This wasn’t a specific situation at all? It’s a question on principles.

Hey, I don’t know how old you are but for reference I’m 21. I’m not Ryan Reynolds level attractive, but for most of my teen years I’ve been able to garner girls’ attention only to drive them away with my awkward, overthinking self. I’ve gotten better over the past year or so and I’d say the biggest improvements came from working out, meditating, and quitting porn. I know they sound completely irrelevant to your question but I promise you they’re not. They’ve helped my self confidence drastically…

Something about the idea of adult men in a convention room discussing how to pick up women with a guy leading on an easel pad is almost satirical

I'm usually a lurker on another account but holy fuck this is the mentality I need.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
