I haven't had any noticable issues using Duck Duck Go, is it not opening at all for you? Edit: I take that back, it's no longer working for me either!

I had an ex in the military that would complain that when they were out on exercise, the women were allowed to shower, and to go into the nearest town to buy pads and tampons in an emergency. Asshole, let's see you go two weeks without a shower when you're bleeding out your vagina. You'd be complaining a shitload more if those women weren't allowed to shower.

Fair, though it's never done me wrong in my home country. It does also depend on a good resting bitch face and posture. I don't tend to make myself particularly approachable in public.

"Fuck off." Or, occasionally, "get fucked."

Fuckin' run. I was with one of these men for a few years, and next thing you know you'll be forced to do his makeup, dress him up like a maid with a toy up his ass just to get him to help you clean the house(badly, too, because he won't be able to walk in the ridiculous heels he made you buy him). It's an odd one because these guys tend to put you in a 'dominant' sexual position, all the while you don't have a choice and he's emotionally and/or physically abusing you. I've heard so many similar …

I can only assume they found 3% Norwegian in their 23 and Me test or some shit.

How did we even get to the point that long, perfectly manicured nails are a part of the beauty standard? It feels like it was purposefully designed to handicap us, much like high heels. Add to that the pressure to be as thin as possible so that we take up less space, Western society wants us to disappear.

I do think inter-sex childhood friendships often work a little differently, if you've developed more of a sibling-type bond. Even then, though, that doesn't necessarily mean they wouldn't fuck you if they had the chance. I have a couple of male friends I've known since childhood, and only two of them that I can hand on heart say wouldn't care to see me naked. One is gay.

Hell no, I like my name. He can take mine if he's so inclined, but if I have kids they're getting my surname. I did all the work, they come from me, so it only makes sense.

Don't block this man if you fear potential stalking, but restrict his messages in any way possible so there's no 'read' response. Do not respond to him, in any way. Trust your instincts, let your friend/family group know, and save all of those messages. I repeat, do not engage in any way. 'The Gift of Fear' should be next on your reading list!

I believe I've seen it mentioned somewhere that psychopaths are more likely to remain friends with their ex. I'd rather be seen as a cold hearted bitch than a psychopath 🤷‍♀️

Please tell me you called him on it and destroyed his manly ego? 😂 My father was a hunter, but never took a trip longer than an overnighter(blinds aren't a huge thing here, we usually just go walking). Usually he'd take me with him as a child, on the day trips, because he was a damn decent father that wanted to spend time bonding with his daughter. At no point would he have ever tried to pull that low value shit on my mother!

I obviously can't speak for every family, but the most telling thing I've noticed is how extended families often just fall apart and implode as soon as the matriarch passes away. Both sides of my extended families did exactly that, the moment both grandmothers left us, and I've seen the exact same thing happen in friends families. It's always struck me as a good example of how we truly seem to be a naturally matriarchal species.

I thought they were meant to be backwards compatible? I'm just hoping the price comes down before the Horizon sequel comes out(Ted Faro, the ultimate LVM)!

Speed and intensity is a huge, huge red flag. If you're the most incredible woman they've ever met, 'not like other girls,' and they claim to have fallen head over heels for you way too fast, you need to run as fast as you can. A lot of narcissistic abuse support groups will have some great advice on spotting these types.

I feel like the use of the word 'kink' has been purposefully expanded to encompass the most extreme fetishes just to make fetishists feel better about themselves. My sissification-obsessed(and I mean obsessed to the fullest extent) piece of shit ex forbade me from using the word 'fetish'. I was only allowed to call it a kink. There was plenty of gaslighting and emotional manipulation around that shit, it was over a year ago and even mentioning it now makes me feel like vomiting. I mean, a kink i…

Lack of awareness=/=Lack of personal responsibility. If you don't realise abuse is abuse, or that being treated a certain shitty way isn't supposed to be normal, personal responsibility doesn't really come into it. Victims of childhood abuse(physical or otherwise) are significantly more likely to end up in abusive adult relationships. Physical IPV ALWAYS comes after a period of psychological manipulation and emotional abuse, and yet you'll so often hear women say they never saw it coming the fir…

Coercive control is very real, and can be difficult to spot if you don't know what you're looking for, particularly when you're inside of it. Emotional abuse, too. I definitely agree with you about letting go of the victim mindset that keeps them trapped in the same cycle, but it's not the easiest thing for most people to do if they've already been gaslit to think it's normal. Consent isn't really consent if you feel you don't have a choice. Gotta judge it case-by-case.

None of these men seem to understand that putting pressure on and guilt-tripping us about sex is fairly often a pretty large part of our libido loss. Of course I don't want to bang you, your constant whinging about it is the last thing that's ever going to get me in the mood. I'm guessing that in reality, when he started 'ignoring' her, he just stopped being a pain in the ass.

'Be your own best friend' is some of the best advice I ever got, from a therapist. I don't know why we don't tell our daughters this more often.

How many of y'all have heard the whole "you literally saved my life" crap when the guy you were seeing decided to end it? I've had 3. There's a definite pattern. I've never gone into the relationship with intentions of 'fixing' someone, but jesus christ they definitely treat me like a private therapist.
