If the 2020 BLM protests achieved anything, it's being undone by the response to the Everard murderSo much this. I've gone off at people about how we're back to open bigotry and calls for apartheid 2.0 now that there's no more clout to get from black profile pics and being allies. Makes me so effing sick. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 29/03/21 12:28 AM
My English class just had a discussion about gender, and it went better than I could have ever expected.Bravo! Thats quite an uplifting story so thank you for sharing. Kudos on being brave enough to talk about some pretty dark things. | /r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates | 23/02/21 03:02 AM

Men should pay for the first date because of the gender pay gap and makeup is expencive. More rubbish from the BBCNo no I fully agree! I think this wage gap nonsense needs to be stamped out | /r/MensRights | 24/11/18 09:31 PM
Men should pay for the first date because of the gender pay gap and makeup is expencive. More rubbish from the BBCBy that logic women should be first into battle because they live longer on average. That's an actual fact. Oh that's right, logic and facts aren't welcome in this discussion is it... | /r/MensRights | 24/11/18 05:46 PM

(B.C., Canada) Saw this ad on a business Burnaby for a support group for male victims. Was quite surprised and happy to see it.I managed to score them some funding last year. About 5k, nothing to sing about. They are desperately underfunded and get no support from the city (gasp). If we want progress I honestly believe we need to stop being so cynical of what progress we see and instead try supporting them. Donate to them if you can; it would go such a long way. Spread the word too... positivity will rub off I pray, and lead to new options for those people that need this kind of help. | /r/MensRights | 29/08/18 01:27 AM

Asia Argento's teen accuser says he was 'ashamed' and 'afraid' to come out as a sexual assault victim and reveals that police have reached out to set up interview ahead of possible charges. This just gets better and better.I've been lurking on this sub a while now but I came here to say; the silence in my own social media circles around this has been deafening. Already knew there was a double standard but damn... | /r/MensRights | 23/08/18 02:37 AM

Poster at my school: live updatesI'm so proud of you for doing this! Thank you and please stay motivated. You may be on the recieving end of some abuse but its time we actually make a stand for ourselves. Talking about things that affect our lives isn't about ignoring women's issues. But we have been told to remain silent, shamed into keeping quiet and bullied by threats of social stigma long enough that we need to actively encourage each other to talk more openly and shamelessly about these topics. | /r/MensRights | 10/02/15 11:30 PM

Vancouver DTES shelter removes much needed mens beds, to expand services for women.Very true. I am told that if you are specifically a women's center you can refuse to admit men on the basis of the patients/guests being probable victims of male abuse. I neither support or verify this; just passing on what I was told when volunteering. They wouldn't let me inside... I was handing out Xmas stockings... | /r/MensRights | 20/03/14 11:21 PM

x-post from r/wtf. switch the genders and no one would have allowed this to happen. by the way i'm a female subbed here and posting this. What a shame most of this thread turned into a pointless argument about semantics :( Gross is definitely the right word to use regarding this image! Such poor taste! | /r/MensRights | 20/03/14 04:36 AM

To those who have arrived here for the first time because of the SNL sketch... Welcome. Please join the discussion. There are so many and hopefully they are being discussed by like-minded people in their own specific forums. | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 08:32 PM
To those who have arrived here for the first time because of the SNL sketch... Welcome. Please join the discussion.I would hate myself if I made you watch more of her work haha. To be purely objective I really dislike the roles she plays. It's more of a type casting thing than any real agenda on her part I think. | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 12:45 PM
To those who have arrived here for the first time because of the SNL sketch... Welcome. Please join the discussion.Again, you raise valid arguments! McCarthy does a lot of punching in her movies too apparently and it just felt like in today's episode, they were hammering on all those points society generally uses to define a man's worth (erroneously of course but we can't assume everyone understands satire). Edit: I didn't mean to imply you found it funny. More of a rhetorical question. Sorry if it offended... | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 12:36 PM
To those who have arrived here for the first time because of the SNL sketch... Welcome. Please join the discussion.Hey man. Yes you're totally right to remind us that context is important. I actually wanted to add that my feelings of shame and hurt weren't purely a result of this incident but has been steadily building. We love snl at my house. My gf hurried home so we could watch it together. But lately there have been weird and goings-on. When Melissa McCarthy hosted she pretty much punched men in nearly all her sketches. Because assault is funny when women do it to men. There was another sketch we were re… | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 12:16 PM
To those who have arrived here for the first time because of the SNL sketch... Welcome. Please join the discussion.I just saw the sketch and am speechless. I am beyond insulted as a male and heartbroken that flagrant sexism and shaming is OK. I can't even imagine how it would look if the genders were reversed. | /r/MensRights | 09/03/14 08:45 AM

Guys, we need to talk about this. It's time for some hard reflection.First post I've ever read on Seddit and I'm so goddamn happy it is! Thanks dude, you're a fine gent. Have upvotes and real world karma too. This idea needs to catch on. | /r/seduction | 15/12/11 08:33 PM
Male sexuality... completely misunderstood!I totally agree. It's utterly absurd how twisted this kind of thinking is. It illustrates how little accountability people like that have grown up with. I would love to read more about articles like this and I hope to someday work with groups of men to make a positive influence on our perception of ourselves, free of the dogma that has painted us so poorly, thanks to the actions of a few. | /r/MensRights | 17/01/11 03:34 PM
Male sexuality... completely misunderstood!Nice one. The article was an interesting read. I've been reading a lot of things along these lines lately; I do feel that the masculine is being villified and misrepresented. I think its become far too easy to make sweeping generalizations about men as a gender and sadly, as it is with most cases, it's the misinformed that tend to have the loudest voices. I think men are undergoing a huge change in collective conscience, no longer amused by being depicted as the clumsy oaf in commercials to boos… | /r/MensRights | 17/01/11 03:27 PM
