Honestly, it depends on what kind of date you're after. I almost always talk about all of those topics, because I don't have time for bs, and like partners that are open in the same way. If they're not cool talking about those subjects, they're probably not people I mesh with. But ymmv.

Man, it was an example, I'm not stating that's the answer, explicitly. What I am saying is that there needs to be a point to the statement, the current one is basically generic, and consequently meaningless.

You're still basically saying the same thing. If you were to say "The reason why bad boys are attractive is because they often exemplify quiet confidence, and women are typically attracted to confident men", that would be an explanation. Saying they illicit a strong emotional response is pretty much the same thing as saying they are attracted to them because they are.

No, I read the article. As much as I could, with all the caps screaming in my face, anyway. I stand by my statement.

This article is pretty ridiculous. The REAL reason why so-called “bad boys” are extremely attractive is very simple – they elicit a STRONG EMOTIONAL RESPONSE from women. So the real reason women love bad boys is because they do? Great, thanks for the explanation.

Good job, man. Your early 20s can be a tough period, and you're usually confronted with a lot of forks in the road that can have pretty long-term consequences. Sounds like you're choosing the right paths. Stay dedicated.

Man, I can really sympathize with the self-perception you seem to hold, I can really say that I felt similarly many years ago. Honest opinion: nothing wrong with you at all. You've got lots to work with. I'd say the biggest things you need to work on is letting go of the self-instilled knowledge that your looks are the barrier. It's false, and I can see the awareness of it written in your eyes. Once you expand your social horizons, you'll realize that your looks are far from the biggest barrier,…

Holy jesus, that's a fucking misogynistic opening. I couldn't even make it past. What an ignorant load of shit.

I'd second this motion. It takes time, for sure. Keep working at it, and even when you think you aren't making progress, remind yourself that simply thinking about it is progress. Don't stop, and you will inevitably improve. You can't fail, if you never stop thinking about it. In addition to that, I would say: focus on being a more awesome person. One of the biggest things that helped me gain confidence, and just stop giving a fuck around people, was dressing better. Check out r/malefashionadvic…

I think you summed it up perfectly. Now, if all the bickering children would simply read this post, and stfu, we'd be golden.

haha same. Honestly, I'm not even great with women, but picking up little things like that really help a lot.

I usually use something similar. I'll find something amusing that pops out, or a joke that she's made, and play a joke off of that. Then I'll usually enquire about something interesting she mentioned, or make some comment about her/profile, or sometimes I just say "you have $20 in your pocket, it's sunny, and you have no where to be. Where do you go, what do you do, and what is there to eat?". I'd say I get about 50% positive responses. Some people respond very well, others don't really at all.

I'm 6'4'' and change, and I find sticking a thumb in to my back pocket helps. If I don't, I tend to lean in, simply because there's so much distance between me and normally sized peoples. By keeping a thumb in my back pocket, I stay upright, and keep correct posture.

I'd like to add that, from my perspective(early 20s male), this is the worst advice ever. I'm a fairly monogamous person, but if I were in this guys shoes, and you told me you'd gone out and banged 3 random dudes this week, I'd be out of there pretty quickly, considering there's something still going on with the 2 of you. If you want something laid back, but still exclusive, then just say that. I can't even begin to explain how frustrating it is to have a girl play mind games constantly, and not…

It needs to be lighter, in terms of the content. As much as women want a man with deeper sentiments, they aren't initially attracted to those kinds of things. It needs to be about cool, exciting things. Don't post a soulful picture, post a picture of you rock climbing, or doing something playful. Make it funny, and keep it casual and aloof.

who the fuck are you to discourage him? If this is a big enough change for him, enough to warrant his obvious enthusiasm to post about it, then good for him. Who cares if his line seems lame. If it worked at the time, then it was a good line. Good for you, Pro.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
