1	Men claim they want an interesting woman, but what they mean is a woman who keeps herself busy. You one upping a dude in knowledge or otherwise is dominant. Being dominated by a woman is stereotypically shameful. So, man projects his insecurity on you and instead of using your competitiveness as motive to improve himself and come back more relevant to the game next time, it'd be much easier for him to just avoid your company all together and hang out with a woman that makes him look good in front of everyone.
