The wage gap exists, but it's not because a bunch of Fat Cats are paying women 75% (or whatever) of what men earn. It's because of choices that women make in life. For example, my mother worked until she had me. Then she was a stay-at-home mom for a decade or so. When she went back to work, she went back to work as a teacher. Meanwhile, my father kept working, getting raises, and getting promotions. By the time they retired, he was probably making close to twice as much as she was.
