There's no need for that, a transgender wants to be seen as either a man or a woman so they'd never flip a sign that says they're trans.

Where I live, rape by deception isn't even a thing. It was argued that someone who tries to use sex to get someone's money doesn't have much of a case when someone uses money to get sex from her. (That's the TL;DR anyway) If those guys are expecting sex before they even meet her in person, it seems like they're not in it for the date either. They wanted sex, she wanted lunch, and she "won".

It doesn't feel like a pussypass without the vice imo. If she's not doing it for malicious reasons, but just to eat a proper meal once in a while... I'd feel different if she demanded that they pay the bill. But if they really just offer to, it's hard to judge her for it.

For one, you don't know whether this guy is a Nazi. He has a sign. It supports free speech and open mindedness. For all you know he could be in a freaking debating club, but you assume he is a Nazi because someone has a sign that says "fuck off Nazis". Secondly, this guy isn't being violent. We have no proof that he was violent. We can not know if he will be violent. Right now, this specific dude sticks to words, not actions. Even if he is a Nazi, he is not doing anything wrong. You are assuming…

It doesn't matter that they're Nazis. If they stick to words, not actions, they're doing nothing wrong. Free speech is for everyone, including even Nazis. This guy only has his sign. That's perfectly legal.

But they don't do that. They have several ways of saying X men and y women were injured, and saying it this way is most beneficial. There's no manipulation of the facts here. When I said cater I meant that they try to write their stories in such a way that it appeals, not that they write it with the intent to change your mind. I know there are extremely pro-women papers, but this? It's just business.

To be fair, this isn't the fault of the media. They're companies; anything they produce caters to the clients - their readers and audiences. If this happens like OP says it does (haven't really paid attention to it) it's not because the news agencies care more about women, it's because the viewers care more about women.

If you're talking about the notorious Bravalla rapes, that was debunked within a week after the festival. Seven people were arrested. Two of them were probably immigrants. (As reported by both left and right wing papers, fyi) Still terrible, but it's not all on them. Rape at festivals is a much bigger issue.

Well, you're the one who made this about Islam, so I think it's your job to explain what religion has to do with a music festival.
/r/PussyPass16/08/17 06:40 PM

Depends on your interpretation. If you give everyone the same amount of something, that would be equality. If you give everyone precisely the amount of something they need to be equals, that's also equality. I think the second one is "true" equality. The first would imply that anything one gender has, the other must also have. If the pill is financed by the government for women, then men should be able to go to the apothecary every month and get a roll of birth control pills too - I mean, I gues…
/r/PussyPass16/08/17 04:27 PM

I guess? The camping grounds on large festivals are usually on the opposite side of the main event anyway - so for the music they'll mingle, just like they would on a normal festival. Maybe the idea that they'll have a personal zone to retreat to will put their minds at ease.
/r/PussyPass16/08/17 02:21 PM

you're right. To give everyone what they want, some people need more. If some women can't visit festivals because they're afraid of what men might do to them... I mean, not saying they're right, not saying they're wrong, but why complain if they get a chance too?
/r/PussyPass16/08/17 01:45 PM
3

Yeah, that's actually even better. Just fence off a piece of land for the ones who would otherwise be tooafraid to visit the festival. Then you don't even need special festivals for women.
/r/PussyPass16/08/17 11:13 AM
-20

To be fair, it actually is a problem, and I think a women-only festival is a good thing. But for the sake of equality they should also make a men-only festival, so that we don't have to be afraid of female perverts.

Sorry for the late comment, but I'm confused by all the bullshit lingo and hoping I read this wrong. Is she saying "you can't blame girls for raping boys because some boys are rapists"?
/r/PussyPass15/08/17 03:44 PM

Neither the article nor the girl are using gender as an excuse or a handicap. The article may be full of shit but that's more /r/quityourbullshit's game. As I already said, I like PPD. This simply isn't PPD. edit: and the author of the article has nothing to do with it, unless she defends her articles with her gender.
/r/PussyPassDenied15/08/17 12:10 PM

Don't be like that, she seems to have accepted it. "I've cried for an hour! Not the news I wanted." implies that she actually believes him. "feeling upset" implies that she's taking it seriously - after all, if she didn't care about her health there'd be no reason to be upset. I'm all for a good pussypass, but that stuff has to go two ways. We need to confront pussypassers, and we need to applaud those who change. Otherwise it's just bullying.

I've rarely seen women sit with spread legs - or at least rarely with their legs fully "manspread". The term seemed appropriate to me, that's why I didn't realise it's a feminist insult.
/r/PussyPassDenied12/08/17 05:30 PM
1

Feminists in the Netherlands never translated Manspreading to Dutch because the Dutch language already had a word for that position: wijdbeens, which is "wide leg manner" when translated literally. I assumed that manspread was just the word for that sitting position in English. I mean, I have never seen women sit manspread so I had no way of knowing that it's a feminist insult.
/r/PussyPassDenied11/08/17 11:47 PM
-1

In my native language it is not seen as a feminist word, and I wasn't aware of how it is used in English. Anyway, I still don't see how she is trying to use her gender to pass anything. I guess she is passing feminism, but she's not using her gender to do it. It's not a freaking pussypass.
/r/PussyPassDenied11/08/17 09:17 PM
-13

There's no reason to believe she had no other thoughts about that person than his gender, and I don't see how it is about her at all. So please, explain. Oh, and while you're at it; where is the feminism you mentioned. Because those women didn't talk about feminism.
/r/PussyPassDenied11/08/17 08:56 PM
-13

So what. It's not a pussypass because there's nothing she's trying to pass. She's a sexist but this sub is not about sexism, it's about abuse of gender values by women.
/r/PussyPassDenied11/08/17 08:46 PM
-19

Not really a pp, in my opinion. She just wasn't aware of his problems, nothing wrong with that - as long as she stops making fun of it now. Besides, she isn't trying to "pass" anything. She's just making a bad joke, and someone explains to her why it isn't funny. There's no pass or denial here.

You're right, but this isn't the place for it. Not everyone acts like that lady in the cartoon, but this sub is for complaining and laughing about those types of people, so the people here don't give a damn that not all women are like that.

What part of that sounded like trolling? Listen, that whole part of history itself is a joke gone bad. The UK fucked up majorly by even suggesting that an entire nation's worth of people could just go live somewhere. They should've predicted that those Jewish people, after all that's been done to them, would long to have something of their own. Sending them to a place that's already in use was a really major fuck-up. Half a century after that, we have the ancestors of people who were invaded and…

There's only a handful of those still alive. The rest are living on land their ancestors invaded, and they get away with it because of people who pity them for a war they didn't personally suffer from.
/r/PussyPassDenied08/08/17 10:57 PM

You mean before it was Israel? Definitely. Or technically seen the UK "gave" it to them but since the UK didn't actually own that land (Palestine did), it's kinda tricky.

Tears don't move a cop. They see those all day, every day. If you want a cop to let you off with a warning, make him laugh. My dad was stopped for speeding (read: going less than fifteen km/h over the limit) once, and my mom casually pulls out a card and hands it to the officer. "I believe you may want to take a look at this, officer". It's a "get out of jail free" card. The man snorts, gives us the classic "do you know why I stopped your car?" routine, then a lecture for the speeding, but at th…

What's important now is to find the good feminists and make them egalitarians or equalists or whatever we will name it. We need to kill the "feminism good or bad" debate first, and that can only be done by making all of the reasonable people join under a better cause. Then all who are left are the power tripping yahoos, which should remove pretty much every pro and leave them loaded with cons, thus settling the debate. The main reason why feminism is considered a decent cause by many people is t…

They ban people for things they do in other subreddits? I mean I can kinda understand but personally I use the "don't swear in a church" rule - respect the rules of a sub when you're commenting in it, don't give a damn outside of that sub. But this might explain why I was banned from a sub I only lurk at without ever commenting...

Dude she acknowledged the ex spouse as a victim. Read the context. "By pretending to be a rape victim you not only hurt ex, but also every real (rape) victim" The judge is not saying that he is no victim. Hell, judge gave that woman the maximum sentence - that should make it clear that the judge is definitely on his side, even if the maximum sentence is a disappointingly small one.

The only creatures I know which have a tendency to throw poop are chimpanzees. So I did a little research and found that, apparently, apes have IQ levels between 40 and 70, which makes chimps, at the lower end of that range, about as smart as a particularly clever five year old. So there we have it. She's just literally never developed her brain further than toddler stage.

As much as as I hate this kind of behaviour, I don't think this is a pussypass. She's saying that GTA is racist and they should change that (she's utterly wrong, but that's beside he point) but she doesn't actually claim that they should change it because of her gender. PPD is becoming more popular, which also means that there will be more "noise" - posts that don't belong, but seemingly fit in with the theme. In other words, woman hating. But if women are more expensive than men, wouldn't it put them at a disadvantage? I mean, literally no one would want to hire a woman when he or she can hire a man instead, because men are less expensive. If this ad works, they're shooting themselves in the foot.

They're kinda right though. Those things were designed to be used in a sitting position and somewhere along the line the seat got hinges to make them easier to clean. So we started putting the seat up. Nothing wrong with that but we guys are the ones using it differently, and women can't use it the way we do, so it only makes sense to put it back. I liken this to the way I use chairs. I like to reverse them and sit with the back toward the table, but when I'm done using it I turn it back around …

The only one that can't be debunked is dishwasher, really. In most of these fields, there are differences in the job itself; someone washing cars might make more money in certain districts, but those are usually in the middle of the city, which is further away from home, which tends to attract more men than women. Dishwasher is the only one that puzzles me. Can't think of any reason why there'd be a difference here, so maybe there is some truth to it, albeit a tiny truth.

Quote from my favorite book: It is no accident that the same women who say that 'You have to love a bastard,' with a twinkle in their eye are the same women who - later, when it transpires that the bastards that they loved and let into their lives are, indeed, utter bastards - then complain, 'All men are bastards.' The protagonist doesn't blame them. They just used inadequate sample size and variety.
