How exactly are they calculating leisure time? Men marginally work longer hours yet they have more leisure time? It doesn't make sense...

The biggest enemy of a working man are right wing conservative cunts. Nope. It's the misguided liberals who don't know what equality means. No good thing comes from conservatives. They are useful for keeping the liberals from dominating the political scene.

No one is making this a men vs women thing... They just want men to he given their due attention and not turn this into a women's issue only. To answer your question, men should fight because while women are especially oppressed under this regime, That's all the more reason men shouldn't be expected to fight. Cuz people expect them to do it for others. Men's lives are not defined by the utility they have to other people. They have their own lives which have meaning on themselves. So that's why t…

I never said the experience of men is less, You clearly implied it. You said it's not appropriate to talk about men when women were suffering even though men were suffering at the same time. If that's not minimising men's experience then what is it? but that in a lot of cases (such as the rape example) women have extra hurdles to overcome. How do you know that? Again it's not necessary that men have a place to go back to after their regime does that to them. That's not even mentioning the use of…

It's the same tired old narrative that men are being oppressed by women, Where do they say men are oppressed by women? They are oppressed by the same system oppressing women. Which itself is made up of men and women. even in a country like Iran. Yes, men suffer too and it is also disgusting. So why are they invisible then? When you could say that they are suffering more in other ways. Despite this women are one rung further down. See that's the mentality that's problematic... Men's suffering doe…

Well a lot of feminists do happen to be women, But not all women are feminists and what about the male feminists? but this thread is just another general jab at women (using a situation where a woman his been beaten to death). How is it a jab at woman? So one woman dies and suddenly the hundreds of men dying are irrelevant and we should not being men up? I get that the death started this and is an important symbol. It's tragic but look at the ground reality. There are hundreds of similar tragedi…

As someone involved in these protests right now, I can tell you that women are fighting and dying. A lot of these young women are much braver than I'll ever be, all I can hope to do is try to save them when they are attacked. I known it's been a while and hope you are atleast safe for now and it's great you see a cause you want to fight for... But it's just sad that all you see is women when men are dying more around you. Do you not see that or do you just ignore it out of your viewpoint that is…

I also don't take studies seriously that come from 3rd world countries like Mexico, sorry. Sure buddy(Look at the study. Not where it was done)... But to reiterate... Look at the links from Canada and Denmark or are those 3rd world too (And Brazil and Puerto Rico and the USA)? And the Mexico study was a part of a larger study that included USA too so.... That is ancient history, this from 2021 That's not ancient. But still ok. I'll look into your CDC thing. But you can't ignore the links I said.…

Denmark and Canada(Also can give for Puerto Rico if you want). Seems like you didn't read them. The link I shared with those massive sample sizes directly contadicts your sources. And look at the sample sizes. Hundreds of thousands of men. No cherrypicking. Unless you have actual criticisms, please read tne articles again. Especially the Denmark one. Circumcised men are at greater risk for STIs. Also you didn't provide any other sources. As I said your CDC thing is still under review. And no maj…

Countries with poor hygiene??? Yes a lot of those studies have been conducted in African countries. The CDCstates that circumcision reduces the risk of HIV. And the CDC recommendation is under review now. Look at the links I have posted. From Canada and Denmark. Circumcision doesn't reduce HIV risk. In fact it can increase risk of other STIs. Stop spreading misinformation to push your agenda. Only one spreading misinformation is you.

All that is based on research that has not been validated(And done in countries with poor hygiene so that's the issue. Hygiene, not circumcision). Recent research shows that there is not much benefit to circumcision and the risks are higher. https://www.reddit.com/r/science/comments/q8fe5n/a_study_of_over_560000_men_in_canada_published_in/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share Circumcision makes no difference regards to STIs according to this study. Half are you kidding? 15% are women. And how many are frontline soldiers and not support troops? Most importantly all the women had a choice in this matter. Men didn't. They were not allowed to leave and forced to wait to be called up for the draft. Interesting since women 18-60 who are able bodied are required to sign up. How does that matter? You can't be signed up if you leave the country. Which is an option the women have. Being added to the draft doesn't mean you will be immediately forced …

no; i don’t discount the experiences of men. however, if i’m basing my point on how “women aren’t oppressed due to blank statistic, i’m going to look at it from the entire perspective. You have to do that seperately. You have to look at male victims and male preparators seperately. Otherwise you do a disservice to male victims. men are killed more than women. however, men make up nearly the entire demographic of those committing these killings. thus, it disproportionately affects women, rather t…

why do you refuse to engage in discourse? I believe it's because you only choose to focus on the fact that men kill men but not why. And you use it to lessen the severity of crimes against men. Wether that's your intention or not. all i have done is try to show an additional perspective. An additional incomplete perspective. i’m just wondering what the men are doing to address this and how they’re working to change this, since male-on-male killings are found far more often than male-on-female? I’m going solely off of the link I was sent: rape had a conviction rate of 8%, robbery had a rate of 3%, and assault and battery had a rate of 5% What about homicide and other violent crimes? I am trying to compare crimes of similar severity. But also, robbery and assault have lower arrest rates than rape. Not conviction. Also aren't plea deals more common for assault charges? Not entirely sure how the justice system works in that. Regardless of all that, my point still stands. Don't believe the…

Who said anything about shaming? I just wouldn't believe either side unless a legal conclusion is reached. So maybe stop with your assumptions and work on your biases. actually, there’s a lower rate of conviction for those crimes. Are you kidding me? Rape is a crime with one of the least conviction rates. Also it has one of the highest rates of false accusations. 4x higher than other crimes. According to the FBI. According to the FBI: “The ‘unfounded’ rate, or percentage of complaints determined…

Aye, but men are the majority of perpetrators, no?? Male perps are a different class from male victims. A man's death is not any less just because he was killed by a man. Not trying to get downvoted, just saying, if we as men are to be rational, we got to realize we got some work to do amongst ourselves. So you are trying to paint this as a problem men have to fix by themselves without any help or empathy or context around the socioeconomic and cultural factors? Yes, men are the majority of perp…

LINKS: In addition to this, only 2% - 10% of rape allegations are found to be false Do you know only 9% of rape allegations yield a conviction(That is the standard of a true allegation)? (https://www.rainn.org/statistics/criminal-justice-system) So according to statistics, false allegations are as common as real ones. But I don't go around saying that because there is a big grey area of over 80%. We don't know about them. So we should abstain from making premature judgements.

How can you champion for men’s rights, when most of these attacks are committed by men, against men? So men don't deserve rights cuz they are attacked by men? What a great way to erase male victims. Male victims are different from male perpetrators. Get that through your thick skull first. it is far more reasonable for a woman to fear this random man in a dark alley attacking her, than a man to fear a woman he doesn’t know accusing him You are spreading a vile myth about rape here. Most rapes do…

Well then read the comments which give better examples like Eileen Wuornos. This PoS got a movie starring Charlize Theron which almost tried to blame her victims for the crimes or at least heavily focus on how her past made her a bitch. While I agree there is a place for analysing how criminals become who they are, it is mostly reserved for female criminals. At least, when the analysis paints them as a kind of victim. Male criminals(Specifically Serial Killers) don't get that kind of treatment v…

"Men have higher suicide rates!". The rate of attempted suicide is actually higher among women - but more men die by suicide because they're more likely to use violent methods (like guns). That's where you are wrong. Men have a higher success rate across all methods(Except Drowning). https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/abs/pii/S0165032711005179?via%3Dihub Also about women attempting suicide more... The data for suicide statistics have been polluted in in some rather unusual ways. Hospi…

An example is a post from the other day where someone asked what the wives of Bill gates and Jeff Bezos did to deserve such a large divorce settlement. Both the question posed and the comments implied that during a divorce one partner is not entitled to half Well, the whole point of the post is that the institution of marriage is outdated and that the 50/50 split of assets should stop. where as if the woman was the breadwinner and a man was making a claim, those same commentors would see it diff…

Well certainly. It is two different causes in play. If it is for a cause people support they will be fine with certain methods but criticize others for doing the same.

I don't know how to feel about this one. While I certainly understand and agree with their intentions I do recall a similar incident where it was men that used these methods(The Occidental College rape report spam) to try and protect themselves from false accusations as the system was totally anonymous. Yeah people kinda lost their shit. So if this one is to be supported then the people who did that would be heroes too, right?

Reminds me of that Occidental College rape report service that was totally anonymous. Apparently MRAs and 4chan at the time bombarded it with false reports... They got quite a lot of shit for that. But if this is a highly effective form of protest that also shows the uselessness of such systems... Aren't those people heroes too? Now I don't know about your personal perspective but society clearly didn't like it when men did it to try and protect themselves.

I find pedophiles, domestic abusers, and rapists a little more threatening than women who are obsessed with themselves. Female perps of the 3 crimes you mention are grossly underreported(Especially paedophilia). Hell women are not legally capable of being rapists in most jurisdictions. And in domestic violence, there is almost a parity when it comes to gender. Women dominate when the abuse is one-sided. Anyways when it comes to kids... Women are actually more likely to abuse/kill them. http://ww…

So... Apparently more than 50% of convicted sex offenders against women had a history of childhood abuse at the hands of women. So I guess the best retort would be to tell them, 'Teach women to not abuse boys'. Controversial I know. EDIT- For anyone who wants the source http://empathygap.uk/?p=1993#_Toc498111528

Lol you can cut the sass. https://www.reddit.com/r/explainlikeimfive/comments/as9dzp/eli5_why_is_a_male_contraceptive_pill_not_yet/ In this thread you can see people discussing that one study had some fertility issues and was hence dropped. It probably is not the same study. And your own study shows the side effects were more severe. Quite a few subjects went into depression and one even attempted suicide. Not a very good trial. And it wasn't even a pill. It looks like it's an injection.

What do you even mean? If a woman is pregnant due to rape, incest or other such horrible things... She should have the right to abort and does have those rights in the western world. Only the craziest pro-lifers argue against it. Yes in some places they are shitty laws when it comes to rape and pregnancies but they are just as bad. No one here is arguing otherwise.
/r/MensRights25/05/21 07:18 AM

The side effects were too severe. No one expects it to be side effect free. The problem was men weren't able to recover sperm counts sufficiently after going off the pill.

Uhhh how is the system not broken? Custody bias as a huge impact on child support. And the fact that people don't get child support is a testament to the fact that it is broken. You can blame men all you want but there are many other nuanced factors to consider. Putting men in jail for not being able to pay child support is not punishment? It doesn't even help anyone. Accountability is fine and all but it has to be reasonable.

Maybe we shouldn't conflate responsibility for ones actions with equal rights. Why not? Rights come with responsibility. That's a fundamental aspect of our society. They have a different choice due to biology and everyone having BA and BI. BA and BI? Biology is fine and all. No one is asking for men to get a final say in abortion. Due to biology we are asking for a different choice.

It's not your inalienable right to leave fatherless children behind for women to look after for you. sorry. Nah I ain't saying it's my right to leave kids. It's my right to decide if I want to be a father or not. It's the woman's responsibility to look after the kids. Not for the father but because she made the decision to have them. Don't want to look after them don't have them. Society is giving you the full choice to do so. It also shouldn't be your privilege to ignore laws you don't like. In…

Men and women are not similarly situated on this issue (men don't get pregnant) therefore your ill conceived double standard is bogus on it's face. The real double standard is you overlooking the fact that it is not men's fault they can't get pregnant. When you give women the full choice, they should get the full responsibility as well right? If you're going to make this argument, you can't completely ignore the unique state of pregnancy which can only be experienced by the pregnant individual. …

A man can’t get pregnant. This has much less to do with “misandry” and much more to do with plain old biology. Biology is unfair? So what? That doesn't stop society from trying make it more fair. It's not men's fault they can't get pregnant. The misandry part is not about men not being able to get pregnant, it is about men having to pay an unfair price for something they have no control over. If a man impregnates a woman, why should he get off Scot free? Because... Yes, it’s ultimately the woman…
