We're pretty much on the same page then. Maybe I just don't find sex as pleasurable than the average person, but I'll admit that it is a little bit hard for me to understand the "living in the moment" mindset when the consequences can be so high. If I were a woman, I would say the same. Even as a male, I don't engage in casual sex because I just don't find the pros outweigh the cons. I agree that a lot of people aren't interested in kids anyway. If I were a woman, I would refrain from sex in order to more properly bond with a partner later on. I think a lot of women aren't aware of these consequences however, and it may be something they notice later on in life. A quick shag or two now, vs a more connected and fulfilling relationship later seems like a no brainer, but I think the problem is the lack of information out there about these issues. While safe sex should always be taught, there is evidence to suggest that the amount of sexual partners a woman has had has a drastic impact on both her ability to pair bond, and her ability to carry a child to term.
