From a guys perspective. It's not rude, it's pretty normal and understandable. Also, if a guy makes a big deal about it that's a pretty big redflag. 9/10 You want your first meetup in a public setting and have established your own way home and even set a time limit. Ie. "I can only stay out until 10 since I have to get up early... I can only have a quick coffee and get home to my dog... Probably string you along and make you a side piece. This goes both ways (guys and girls do this); it's a type of person. They're insincere and selfish. Consider yourself lucky. You dodged a bullet. While you may have nice eyes, he wasn't letting you know to let you know he felt you were special. He let you know so that you would think he thought you were special. There's a difference and it's an important one.

I think a lot of what gets discussed when we talk about rape is a lack of personal responsibility on the part of the victim. It's interesting you bring that up, victim blaming seems to be a recurring theme in some dialogues, especially dealing with rape. It is also referenced in conversations ie. cool, thanks a bunch for sharing. I think this will be a neat thread, especially if there are alot of women here. I have mostly seen MRA being used pretty negatively in some of the worst threads (ie. r/creepypms). Hopefully this thread will shed alittle more light as to what MRA's are really about.
