Entymology as you spelt it isn’t a word. I was making a weak joke about entomology because it sounds the same. It wasn’t that good though, in all fairness. And I don’t use online sites to learn Ancient Greek. I don’t know how you’re supposed to fact check it if you simply don’t know the language. That’s probably one of the key drawbacks of the internet as an information source. There aren’t many drawbacks, but I think that a lack of comprehensive detail in more obscure/specialised areas is sever…

Firstly it’s etymology*. Entomology is the study of insects. And second, do you study Ancient Greek? Because I do, and the noun ‘historia’ comes from the verb ‘histeimi’ which means I set down or something along those lines depending on the context. The point of a language with a case system and word endings is that masculine and feminine nouns can be formed from neuter nouns and such. ‘Histor’ is not the origin of the word but a derivation of it.

I’m not in the US, btw, but that’s not the point. You’re saying I’m misunderstanding but tell me what I’m misunderstanding. As I see it, you’re planning on handing positions of immense power to people purely because of their gender. This means that they are picked over someone who might be better qualified, have a better work ethic, have a better education, or just be a better candidate in general purely and solely due to their gender. This makes their gender the most important trait about them …

Gender Quotas? Seriously? So you’re saying (in essence) that you want woman to be paid properly and promoted properly, etc., so you want them to be valued in the workplace, but then you want them to only get their job so that a company can fulfil a quota? What? How much does that devalue someone’s position, that their qualifications, their intellect, their work ethic are all practically negligible when they are chosen just so that a company can meet some arbitrary demands?

Hey man, I’m not tryna ruin your evening or anything, and I don’t work in management, lol. You said that you’d rather “stare at the fckn wall before [you] grow even dumber from reading comments...” after referencing my comment. Don’t go spouting off about being a Christian and having the moral high ground lol.

Ok, buddy. Let’s say someone was putting forth a plan in say a board meeting for a company for some marketing campaign, and there are obvious flaws in it and no one speaks up. The company then launches the campaign and make a massive net loss in money from a terrible marketing campaign that garnered a total of two sales and costed a fuckton of money. This is a completely random example pulled entirely from thin air, but can you give me one instance where it is unhelpful to point out flaws in a p…

Pointing out flaws in a plan is just as (if not more in some cases) valuable as putting forth another idea or something. I don’t have another idea, I was just saying that that one wouldn’t work, not in a pessimistic way but in a pragmatic way.

Doubt you care but jic... It actually has some pretty interesting origins. In some french (I think don’t quote me on this) and English war, when the french captured English archers, they would cut off their index and middle fingers so they would be rendered useless, kind of like the ultimate humiliation: not being able to fight for your country. When Englishmen passed french POWs, they would show off their two fingers in the V to be like “haha fuck you I still have my shit”. I think at least. So…

...if you wouldn’t be cool with it, don’t do it to other people... This resonates the same energy as the “treat others how you want to be treated” philosophy, which is completely fucking stupid. I’ll explain why, now: If someone is sociopathic, psychopathic, etc. are they still meant to treat other people as they want to be treated? What if someone is just strange and enjoys certain things that do not fit public decorum and hears this advice and goes out and does it to other people? There are la…
