Or, you know, maybe we just think women are people too and treat them as such.

A first date can be whatever you want it to be. But apparently OP thought that because he paid for her food and drinks he was owed something and tried to get restitution when he didn't get what he expected. That's some incel shit right there. It's only $40, be a man and shrug it off instead of pulling a petty stunt like this.

If you go to a fancy restaurant, you're often paying for the experience as much as the food. If you don't want to do that, then eat elsewhere. I've had amazing food at hole in wall Mexican joints and at Michelin starred restaurants. It is what it is, welcome to capitalism. But $10 for a microbrew at a decent restaurant isn't unreasonable, though a little high, at least not in any major American city. And since you mentioned Trappist beers, a small bottle of Chimay usually goes for $12-13 any pla…

Congrats on the job, but apparently it doesn't pay that well if you're that concerned over $40. And these prices are not out of line with what food and drink costs at a respectable restaurant in the United States, which I assume is where this happened. There are a couple of breweries within blocks of me that sell beers for more than $10. If you can't afford the food and drinks, then take her to Applebee's next time. The difference between the cost of the food and what you pay is how the restaura…

So all healthy relationships ask the waiter to split the check up every time? Or if you're dating someone that makes half as much as you do, you're just going to make everything 50-50 and you'll always have way more money than them? Maybe that works for you, but I know plenty of people that see their relationship as a partnership and contribute what they can.

Why would you pay? Maybe because you asked them out on a date and that's how dates work. If you can't afford $40, maybe ask a girl to go for a walk in the park instead, or get coffee and spend $5 instead of $40. This invoice is just pathetic and anyone who thinks otherwise is really trending towards inceldom.

Guess I'm just a dumb sheep that has an actual job, so not concerned with $40. And the fact that you immediately think a girl is fat because she likes pork tacos says a whole lot more about you than her. While you may apparently be old enough to drink, you have the emotional maturity of about a 7 year old.

Yeah, would allow future women to avoid having to go on a date with a loser who would actually send someone this invoice.

Paying for a date isn't simping, and getting this worked up over $40 is pathetic. If you can't afford $40, maybe you shouldn't be dating.

When you live in your parents' basement, $40 is way too much money to throw away. They could have gotten a few months of OnlyFans for that.

A message that he's even more immature?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
