Show up before the process server with the vague promise of reconciliation. When the server shows up, let them in. 🤷‍♀️

You won’t owe her the rest of your life. Alimony is usually only awarded for 1/2 the time of the marriage. But she also worked 1/2 of the marriage. But it definitely won’t be for life. If she’s disabled then disability should cover her living expenses, it’s not on you to support her the rest of your life. Vows mean for better or worse, not abuse. Start reaching out to her family and see if she’d go visit them. Get some alone time to clear your head and prep the battlefield. Also if you want to “…

But something good did come out of it, you now know your bf is an abuser apologist. Look up Lundy Bancroft book “Why does he do that”, it’s a free PDF. Most abusers sympathize and try to logically find other abusers “correct” in thier actions.

This can go one of 2 ways. Based on your comments it’s too soon to ask for friendship. 1. She accepts and you guys have a wierd friend relationship that gets sticky when either of you start to move on with another. 2. She doesn’t do it because you are asking for emotional help that she was already giving while married and is fed up. My marriage ended by my request and I was a number 2. I’m in the middle of rearranging my life, I don’t have time to give the guy that neglected me for so long, emot…

Women do this too, they ask why men are the way they are, and then don’t listen when they get a man’s point of view.

I personally won’t get married again. So yes just dating for fun and sexual fulfillment is a way to live. I also see the benefit for both side in marriage, but I agree woman want it more then men because it’s a type of security. I think the men who think this point of view as bad and down voting just refuse to see it from our POV. This isn’t an all inclusive list, just my observations. The OP wanted to know WHY women divorce men at a high rate.

I’ve been divorced twice… not because I WANTED to but because they and many men let us down. So here’s a womens perspective. I have a military back ground so I’ve seen MANY divorces and even coaches poor guys through why they are likely being left. Foreword- women are expected to work as much as men today. These next things are add ons in our life because of you and all of it together is the culminating factors. 1. Emotional weight- we do much of that for you and in turn put ourself in emotional…

I retired from the the Marine Corps 10/10 would not recommend. I also wouldn’t want my daughter to join as enlisted (rape statistics are insanely high) but as an officer I’d be ok with it. More money, same problems, less sexual assault on their side. Thankfully they don’t want to, but I wouldn’t mind if they were drafted, just as officers 🤷‍♀️

I bought a small laser engraver for fun and a vinyl cutter. Got them each off Amazon, couple hundred each and you can upgrade the laser or use it as is. I make cutesy stuff for my kids and I, and the occasion going away plaque for friends at work. The vinyl cutter makes fun decal for cars, shirts, wall art etc…. I use it for all those things when ever a creative idea strikes.

Or any instrument and learn from YouTube. My kids and I are currently learning piano, we got a baby grand for free (you’d be surprised how many people just want to get rid of them 🤷‍♀️).

So your saying now the women of Texas will become more chaste and less whore like? That means all the other states that accept it, women are whores there? You really think an abortion is just a walk in the park, going for tea, or getting your nails done, so we are all ok doing it? You should look up how painful even pill abortions are for women, it’s not something ANY of us are willing to do on a whim.

The baby name thing seems like he will talk about it in front of family to get them off his back but he’s right 2.5 months is a bit early to be planning baby names. Let it ride for 6 months but look at him objectively, don’t get more attached and start assessing if he makes more concrete plans with you as that 6 months get closer. You may just be a place holder til he’s ready and finds some one he can “see himself doing that with.”

He’s trying to blame your biology as a woman your “need” to find the best partner, for other men’s actions. Sadly he failed because the two do not correlate. He seems to think that because society is more sex positive and open it’s ok to consume as much negative imagery as he wants, be as angry at your gender as he wants, and be addicted to what ever he wants because some woman treated him poorly and he blames hypergamy. The thing is, to men like this, women are to blame for all their woes. Even…

If she cannot find a man with integrity I’m sure she’s prepared to be alone. Most women these days would rather be single and alone then attach to some one not worth the time. Your comment sounds like a guy saying “if you don’t accept these common vices you’ll be alone and more miserable.” Women are saying “no, I’d rathe be alone then be with some one with these vices.” 🤷‍♀️

You honestly owe him nothing now. Go scorched earth, take a vacation with just the kids, or alone. Enjoy your kids and raising them, only focus on you. Rule of thumb is that it takes half the total time of the relationship to get over it. I believe this to an extent. You won’t be “ready” for a new relationship for a FEW years, and to get a jump start in that, start counseling for yourself.

Lady here, I believe many women believe in men’s and women’s rights equally, until they are wronged by the opposite sex and/or get hurt by the system(men) or can benefit from it (women). I was in the Marine a Corps 20 years and I saw it so much, it hurt. I watched good men and fathers lose their kids to vindictive ex wives, and young girls get taken advantage of by men and use the system for “justice.” Personally when I divorced my ex, marine, we split it all down the middle and I ended up with …

The statistic is about the DEATH number. That’s what I’m referring to and only referring to.

Exactly... so why does this stat make men angry? We know we are 50% more likely to fail the selection process. But they allow it anyways, you can’t be proud to be the only ones to do the job, but then be mad you’re the only ones dying doing it.... see the issue?

Why would the combat ones offend you? The government didn’t ALLOW us to serve in combat jobs until recently. Women died being exposed to combat through other jobs such as motor transport or engineers etc... those numbers will likely rise now due to infantry being opened up to women who qualify, but it will never be an equal number, since women are 12% of the military population. Men are already offended we are “allowed” into these jobs now( personal experiences) they wanted to gate-keep it as a …

Oof as a former military member in the US, I can say with certainty that rape and sexual harassment are rampant in the military. I am glad I served, but the environment is annoyingly male centric. I had mentors I wanted to learn from, who’d teach me just to get close to me so they could assault/harass me later on. Then they would withhold training and promotion because I would not reciprocate. My peers were worse, trying to get with you just because you worked near them. There are bets on who wi…

Wait... you broke up with her, then wondered why she stopped putting her emotional stock in you during a “difficult” time? Once you broke up why did you think she owed you emotional support, friendship or anything at that point? I’m also confused as to why you think her blocking you after YOU BROKE UP WITH HER, wasn’t the right choice for her to move on. I’m genuinely curious how you thought your relationship with her after the break up would go/look like?

Oh yes, the military is quite the harassment playground. Sadly if you are alone and the LVM around your perceive weakness, you will deal with it ALOT! There are avenues to report but it’s a “I don’t want to rock the boat/ruin his career” type mentality. Females are few, so I made a point to talk to all the ones outside my job to let them know they can ALWAYS talk to me and ask me about strange behavior. I’ve reported men on their behalf or urged them to report harassment and assault. It’s the yo…

Why not address this behavior AS IT HAPPENS? I have worked in a male dominated job (military) I have zero issue calling men out for disrespectful speak to another woman, you shouldn’t either.

If his AP never broke it off, he’d still be doing this to her. She needs to get out of that marriage, and he ABSOLUTELY had and emotional and physical affair. Gross that he was trying to turn her into his AP, the double standards, and finally the fake Fog he’s going through over the situation. Just uuuggghhh all around.

Don’t forget if you’re a single parent with no free help. I DO pay $10 per hour for a sitter, so the gentleman better pay the bill, not due to this, but because my time is precious and I value it.

Ask him if he’s that persistent with getting his male friends to take a drink? His aggressive politeness wouldn’t be accepted by a male so wtf should I accept it. This post reminded me of when my ex was on a work trip to Seattle and he saw an attractive women who appeared to be living on the street. You know what he told me, verbatim” she’s pretty, it was a shame, if she was just a good woman to a man, a guy would take care of her.” I noped right out of that marriage shortly after. I know TONS o…
