The system we have was made to protect single mothers from womanizing husbands back in the late 1800's and early 1900's Our world has evolved beyond that one. that is the framework i base my assumptions on. Based on that, in todays world, it could start out as a default 50/50 custody split, but then when someone askes for child support, instead of garnishing someones wages, lets examine the basis for requesting child support. men tend (statistically) to earn more $$. but instead of taking the me…

IMHO that's not enough. we need to abolish child support completely.

I couldn't disagree more. First of all yes, if the couple decides to have one parent be a stay at home parent, then what caused them to get a divorce? infidelity? abuse? that should be considered in the divorce. and each situation is different I get that, but sorry, if the S@HM now wants alimony with her divorce, no. be an adult and get a job. if you wanted a divorce because you weren't happy, then you get to live with the consequences of your decisions. no job skills? sorry, now, reverse the ro…

I think your model is absurd. why should anyone get a monetary reward of alimony in a divorce. Alimony should always be illegal no matter the situation. if you choose divorce you dont get paid for it.

super glad for you that you didn't have to fight over kids. makes it all drag out for years.

they wont. but this is the fairest way to do it IMHO

I disagree. I'd say kids will be statistically more likely to be raised by their fathers, which will, statistically speaking, reduce crime.

That is why that wont work. I'm gonna have to completely disagree with you there. to each their own. but to my point, stock is basically like a retirement account. Basically what I'm saying is, if you have an account of any kind in your own name (checking, retirement, stock, etc.) it's yours, and not hers. and hers is hers and not yours. that way everyone knows the playing field from the beginning, and the field is even. but just like if the roles were reversed you dont get to have her money and…

I certainly cannot disagree with the majority of this.

Biological reproductive imperative. They want those good genes. Once they've decided you have the genes they want, they're going to get them. It's Only when they dont, when they will sour on you.

Consult an attorney specializing in family law. Make sure you file first. If she wants to continue living overseas, she should be able to just sign off on the divorce. In the future never get married. If you insist on taking the risk of getting married, make her sign a prenup.

THIS! keep in mind, if the roles were reversed she would be forcing you to dish out spousal support and child support.

Yes she's trying to screw you over. Don't settle for what she's offering you, you are entitled to 50/50 on everything. get an attorney! IT IS SUPER UNREASONABLE for her to be asking for all of that. you are the lower income earner, so she is going to be paying you child support and alimony! You should not be paying her! Based on what she is greedily asking for, you should hire an attorney ASAP! ask for temporary orders for child support and alimony ASAP

Damn thats a lot. Alimony should be illegal! Dont let them get away with not counting it as part of her total years of alimony.

And ultimately every single divorce I have seen from friends and coworkers, has resulted in these women getting 10's of thousands of dollars in cold hard untaxed cash! Usually between $40k- $120k, and in Every Single Case I have heard of they are bankrupt within a few years! And some even try to crawl back to their ex, asking for a bailout!!!!! Just remember to say hell NO! And let her sleep in the bed that she has made for herself!

There is at least one lie in her affidavit. She claimed our sons vehichle was her inherited property from Her grandmother. When in Fact it was bought with joint marital funds after her grandmothers death. And why she wanted that truck is beyond me other than to be malicous.

It's not a lowball. That offer represented a 50% equity buyout after the debt.

so, the reason she wanted you back was because when you went no contact, you messed with her own self esteem. when you took her back you inflated her own self image (her own perception of her SMV) and she felt better because more guys (including you) wanted to fuck her. you should always cold turkey with no contact to avoid this shit, you basically taught her that she can act up and fuck multiple guys and they will all want her back. it's very likely that she broke up with you because she realiz…

No, if she wants to bring you another girl to fuck, fine, but make it clear that you do not want to bring her another dude for her to fuck. If this is a dealbreaker for her, then dont go there. This being said, there are many many tales about how introducing threesomes ruined an otherwise great relationship.

yup, man up and ghost her. just do it. if she confronts you personally, just blow her off and tell her you saw her dating another guy, so you assumed it was over. do it nonchalant and find a new fish in the sea!

if they don't say anything and you wanna bang, just txt them and ask them over for "netflix and excessive nudity", (or however you want to phrase it) if they respond then good, if not then don't worry about it.
