Brilliantly put. This is why I love RPW. It may not look like it at the first approach, but it's all about empowerment... to get what YOU value. Thank you OP

I was a bit of a bitch to my captain yesterday. I'm trying to stop smoking weed and it's been hard. He knows that on top of that I'm PMSing but still, not an excuse to lash out on him. On the good news side, my IUD is expiring on December and I can't wait to get it off. We are planning on starting trying for a baby next year. I'm really happy about it as well as a bit stressed out because having a baby is a great responsibility. Right now I need to enter a mindset of "preparing the nest", save a…

Great topic ! Thanks for asking this question. My ideal lady is beautiful : she takes care of herself on the outside as well as on the inside. She wakes up in the morning and has a nice ritual of doing yoga, meditation and eating a good breakfast before going on with her day. She is someone you know you can count on, has good advice and is caring and nurturing of the people she loves. She is resilient : she can face whatever the universe throws at her. She wants to have kids and be a good mother…

Welcome here :) My advice would be to browse the top posts in this sub. Stay away from TRP sub (actually I'm not sure it still exists). This is an amoral theory and all the ladies here are from different walks of life. Like you, I have a dominant personality. I work in IT and I am sorrounded by masculine energy all day. Finding RPW helped me immensely coming to terms with the "yin and the yan" in myself. Being dominant in my previous relationship only brought me unhappiness and being able to dip…

We don't have a set day for it but it's usually once a month. Usually on a Saturday. We take turns organising it for each other and keep it a surprise. Last date night was organised by him, he took me to a classy sushi restaurant and then to the casino, it was awesome ! I'm planning a spa day at home for our next date

We don't do Valentine's Day. We have a date night system in order to avoid falling into the daily routine. I love giving (and getting) gifts outside of holidays. Today I picked some food on my way home from work and I hope he will thank me later for that with some good s** ahah

I agree completely. Before meeting my boyfriend, I couldn't ever imagine wanting to submit to a man. Turns out I just wasn't dating the right kind of men. Thank you for this post, it's very well written.

I don't think trying to forget is a viable solution. I'm not sure what I would do in your situation but I think you definitely have to bring it up. Try to stay calm and level headed, ask him if he is hiding stuff from you, maybe ask him to see his phone with him... His reaction should tell you a lot. It's up to you to decide if you want to work through this, but know that you can't make other people behave like you'd wish. He's the one not being worthy of your trust right now and he should be th…

Not in my book. In my opinion snooping is a breach of trust. Now, I agree that she had her reasons and sometimes you have to follow your intuition, but still doesn't make it right.
/r/RedPillWomen10/09/19 09:06 AM

You are wrong for snooping but more importantly there seems to be a huge communication problem in your relationship. Taking steps to fix that is not easy and it starts by talking to each other.

I used to spend so much time reading /r/relationships. Once, in the comments, someone linked the TRP sub. I checked it out and I was pretty shocked at first but once I found RPW I thought the same as you : what an amazing community of women who call on each other bullshit. These ladies helped me a lot. I'm very grateful for this sub.

Some points for you to think about :. - How was this decision made ? Did he talk about it first and you rationalised that it is what you want too ? Do you really want to go ? - What made you feel uncomfortable with going there without being engaged/married ? Do you have any reason to think he would leave you ? What comfort an engagement would bring you ? It's possible to live together without "playing wife", just don't, it's a bit like roommate style except you sleep in the same bed, sharing cho…

I just wanna know if anyone has any advice on how to be more dominant in a situation like that just to “let these btches know,” I guess lol or am I approaching these kinds of things all wrong? Should I focus on being more dominant when these things happen or try to not care because low key caring = insecure? It’s hard to just not care because that’s my fcking man Yes you're right, you probably already knew. The best way to "assert dominance" is being the best gf you can be to your man and have f…

Ultimately you are the one in this relationship. You're right to want to better yourself but it's important that you do with with self-compassion in mind and not for someone else. The RPW principles can be dangerous if applied to the wrong captain, always keep vetting in mind. I sincerely wish you all the best.

Practice self-awareness. My advice would be daily meditation. It takes work and it's not some magic that happens overnight but eventually you will be able to catch yourself and decide if you let yourself be loud or tone it down.

Hey, I have no proper advice for you, I just wanted to say that you sound very level-headed and I'm sure you can achieve anything you put your mind into. Trust yourself to choose your own path, outside validation is nice but you are the one who needs to decide for yourself. Practice self-compassion and enjoy your life :)

Hmm, I'm having mixed feelings about this. On one hand, I am absolutely happy that you're making changes to better yourself. The thing that bothers me, is how he reacts when you "make a mistake". Particularly with the gift, if I understood correctly, he broke up with you because he didn't think your gift was thoughtful... that just sounds weird to me. I don't know you guys so it's hard to know his character from what you wrote but it almost sounds like he's trying to groom you into this silent l…

Great post, thanks! Vetting and self-compassion. I was the soccer mom type with my ex and I have to work on not letting old habits suck in my current relationship. Right now it's a lot easier to be a cheerleader because my captain is strong and reliable but when I do let the soccer mom creep in I can feel the bad influence on his mood, on my mood and then I feel guilty because I know there was no need for it... I'm very late to the party but I just wanted to say this is spot on and thank you for posting it. I'm currently reading Daring Greatly by Béné Brown and I'm right on the page where she talks about this : "What's ironic (or perhaps natural) is that research tells us that we judge people in areas where we're vulnerable to shame, especially picking folks who are doing worse than we're doing. If I feel good about my parenting, I have no interest in judging other people's choices. If I feel good abou…

He tells her she has a domineering attitude and that "love cannot live under domination". He tells her to have "a little softness, a little tenderness" to soften the firm lines on her face. He gives this formula to close her story : "Know what you want, test it to see if it is a right thing, change yourself in such a way that it will naturally come to you, and always have faith."

I think it's healthy to have your own definition of God. I am exploring using "mother nature" as "God" because I don't want to partake in a specific religion but at the same time I don't want to deny my spirituality. And I find his take on faith very interesting. The advices come down to having faith not only in God (which could be the laws of the universe, nature...) but also in yourself. I think not having faith could be one of the reasons more and more people are depressed/not happy (myself i…

I don't know of any other trails in Europe that are that symbolic. Actually there is more than one way to arrive at st James, you have the "Camino Frances" which starts in France, the "Camino ingles" which starts on north, the one from Portugal (don't know the name) and the "Camino primitivo" which is a very old one. But they all have the same destination. And it's far from something for religious people only, you really meet any kind of people

I don't really agree with... anything you said. People still meet organically through friends' friends and gatherings. I also don't think ambition and masculinity go together, we could argue if ambition is more of a masculine or feminine trait (probably masculine) but a masculine guy isn't necessarily ambitious. Or we don't have the same definition for ambitious (in my book it's someone who wants to go up the social/professional/whatever ladder)

I agree. I'm actually Portuguese and Mediterranean culture is one where you find a lot of those macho guys. In my family, I have a lot of bad examples of those men; the ones that talk a lot and do very little or the ones that suffer in silence because they don't have the life they want and turn to alcohol... it doesn't make people happy

I have a hard time when someone links her view of a "high value man" to those words. A high value man for you is probably not the same as a high value man for me. I wouldn't want a rich older lawyer that hangs out in jet-set because it's not my preference. I want someone who shares my values. He wasn't overly masculine though, he was actually very shy and quiet so if I had been looking for alpha traits only I would've missed him. Yes, for me it's all about that "it made me think about you" or "i thought and put time/money to craft/organize/do/buy something for you". It's a fuzzy feeling for me, and I'm known to give great gifts to the people I care about because it goes both ways. Also in my opinion, random gifts are much better than planned "special occasions" ones.
/r/RedPillWomen08/02/19 08:13 PM
1

It's not about buying or money actually. It's about the fact that someone cared enough to buy or do something just because he thinks I will love it. I'm not a gold digger and I enjoy putting a lot of thought in the gifts I give. Btw, I would hate to get flowers because I love flowers and I don't want a bunch of dead ones. It's not about the gift, it's about knowing each other preferences and being selfless.

I think I appreciate every love language (quality time also speaks a lot to me) but I think acts of service is mostly the way I express my love and when I get a thoughtful gift I feel very loved.
/r/RedPillWomen08/02/19 04:54 PM
1

I've always had mixed results when I do the test, but the 2 I have "the most" are acts of service and gift giving. This is both ways because I love giving thoughtful gifts as much as receiving and same goes for acts of service. My bf is much more straightforward : his love language is physical touch. At first he thought the concept was a bit silly, especially since my love languages are a bit more "work" than his, but I think he got it when he sees how much I appreciate cooking for him and also …

I don't see the point in asking either. My LTR boyfriend doesn't know about TRP but he's kind of a natural and he never bothered. We talked about past relationships and he knows about "my timeline" (when I had sex for the first time and the serious relationships I had). I don't feel any insecurity or jealousy from him over my past and that's very sexy.

I feel you. When I first came across this subreddit I was quite shocked, we are so used that women are constantly put on a pedestal and no one can criticize them. Here, there are a lot of different women, different backgrounds and beliefs, and they all agree on this one thing that literally changed my life. The love is tough and the opinions are honest, which, after the inital shock, is actually very refreshing !

He was also into drug (ab)use and tried to explain his actions by saying that he was an hedonist or as he said "libertin" (lol). Overall a man that I (and many of us) wouldn't want to marry but we don't really know how hypocritical he is with his wife obviously.

Maybe you think I'm advocating or something which I'm not, the prompt in this post made me think about him and I shared, that's all. There's no "ok and?" because there's no "and..." I was just sharing my experience with one outlier like you said. I meant to convey that a single person who doesn't fit the norm is sort of beside the point. What is the point ?

We're just discussing, I don't know why you felt the need to say "ok and?". I know men will sleep with an independent woman, but in that case, he thought indeed that that trait was sexy. The fantasies were another subject to try to explain more about "what kind" of person that guy is.
/r/RedPillWomen06/02/19 01:41 PM

Idk because here in Europe we don't really have frats and I have no idea what he was like when he was young. He also had a quite dehumanizing way to look at women, like, once I asked him about his fantasies and basically they were "fucking the HR", "fucking the receptionist" etc. like, he was attracted to the role more than the woman actually
/r/RedPillWomen06/02/19 01:07 PM

Yeah with his wife for sure, but he fucked every kind of woman. He told me that when he met her, he was attracted to the fact that she had goals and a career and that she was courageous and independent.

Not my man, but I knew a man (35yo) who told me he was attracted to independent women. He wasn't a beta bucks, had a good job, wife and kids and cheated on her with everyone he could. Once he told me that he lost attraction for his wife when she became "the mother of his children" and that he couldn't see her as a sexual person anymore. Poor woman. I would advise you to not go out and buy everything at once, personalization comes with time. I think there's a risk of your house looking too much like an "ikea house" if you buy every decoration item now. I would buy the things that I like the most and get some inspiration on pinterest

That's true. No I don't support him and it's not a dead end job, he wants to be a bodyguard and he's a security agent right now. He needs to do some trainings internally, but that's his company who decides when (he expressed interest and they know what he wants to do), he's actually climbing the ladder (already did some trainings and right now he's doing more qualified work) but realistically I'm not sure how much time this will take. I'm not against video games as I like them myself, but not as a main hobby that takes all of his free time... The thing is, I already told him this 2-3 times. I told him my goals, what I'll need to do in order to achieve them and I told him that if we're going to live together he has to help me. Every time, he agreed w…

His work is being a security agent. His goal is to be a bodyguard but for that he has to do trainings and it's a company decision. So basically he works when his company gives him missions. Some weeks he works 10h and other weeks +40h so "part time" is not really it. "On call" maybe but most of the time he knows his missions in advance. I agree with you, I would like to see him do something constructive during his free time (this week he has so much free time for example), but I obviously can't …

Yes, and that's part of the vetting process. Not staying with someone who doesn't want to be married and try to play games like "walking away". I can't really see it working.

I'm with you on the trp's overgeneralization. Those men are so bitter it's hard to look at. I'm from Europe, and cooking for my man/family/friends is something that really brings me joy. It's such a delicious way to tell those people you love them !! And it goes both ways. I wish trp didn't have that "hating women" feel to it, I mean, how can you respect someone if you hate the whole gender...

"marry me or I'll walk away" doesn't sound like a very smart thing to say though (even if you're obviously not going to say it out loud)... I think we should integrate this to our vetting process instead of trying to "change" a man who doesn't want to get married. I also think that men will do anything for the "right" woman. If he doesn't want to marry you and if he doesn't make you feel like the most beautiful woman in the world when he looks at you, then I'd say you're wasting your time.

Not sure to follow your train of thought... Actually, from what I understand you're saying, then I think I'm "envious" of the fact that he doesn't "have to" care as much as I do about household stuff. That's a feeling I work quite hard to eliminate from my brain, it will be better when I'm not working full time, hopefully pretty soon ! Anyway, we're not married (yet) so I don't want to be too "wifey" on him with his meals.

I found that this article has helped me in that regard : http://lifegoalsmag.com/how-i-learned-to-rebalance-my-masculine-and-feminine-energy/ Basically it says : focus on your appearance, surround yourself with your girl friends, check art made by women and the most important : lean back.

I think wearing jewelry and being well groomed are big factors for a feminine look. You can keep your style, just "finish" the look a little bit with some nice pieces and a nice make-up/hairstyle.

Thank you for this post. I saw that comic and couldn't help but feel like it was written from the point of view of a "victim", which is not what we women are. We all choose our own mental load, and sometimes I do find myself jealous that I seem to think and care about household tasks much more than my boyfriend, but that's entirely on me, not him. I realized this with his lunch meals. When he's home around lunch time, he's always going to take care of his meal. Sure, he appreciates when I plan h…

Oh ok so we were just shaming high N-count women... I mean, I get that there are horrible women out there but there are horrible men too. A lot of RPW, especially new ones, don't seem to understand that the vetting process is the most important thing. I would never want to submit to a man that treats me bad, so why would OP do it ? Because she has a high N-count ? That's bullshit. OP, you need to get rid of this guy and go into nun mode. Read about it. You need to know what you want from someone…

So... no problem - simply advise every woman/female acquaintance (you know) who is searching for a nice, loyal, family friendly, very responsible and dedicated man of character and integrity who might be interested in her as a wife to reveal they've had sex with over 50+ men and note the response. Sooo I would do exactly what I disagree with ? Plus what makes me think that that +50 is intended in a very shaming way ? I don't think looking perfect all the time is a good goal to have in a relationship. Shit happens and if the person you're the most intimate with cannot see you with a spot or even just with no makeup it sounds like hard work ! For example, last winter I got pretty sick and I looked like a ghost for a week. We were 3-4 months into the relationship so I didn't want him to see me like that. On the other hand, having company when you're sick is the best and he wanted to be with me, turns out he end…

We're in 2018. I think today, no one feels safe and protected for life in a marriage. Anything can happen ! Of course, I think here we all aim to have that life where our husband is never disatisfied (and by extension neither do us) and never leaves, but in real life I think it's a little more tricky. In my opinion, being independent is merely being able to take care of you, on your own, and that sounds important af

Wow. Your comment gave me so much to think about. How would you break any habit? By becoming mindful of it, minute to minute. By setting yourself a reward. By recognizing the unpleasant consequences of continuing. I like to see it this way, I'm in the course of breaking some of my bad habits (easier ones though, like brushing my teeth every morning instead of rushing out of bed to work). But like you said, a habit is a habit and it can be broken. This gives me so much confidence. I'm not saying …

I had a client - the guy oozed sleaze but he was 100% right and should have won - lose to someone who was even worse, just because the judge didn't like him. Yeah that sounds upsetting. I love to hear stories where the opposite is true, but sometimes the law works in favor of those who twist it or have too much power over it. I think society is complex because people are, and good and bad are not always binary when it comes to human nature. Anyway I'd like you to know that I actually appreciate …

I'm happy you think justice works well for good people. To fix it, you just need to slow everything down, stop acting on reflex, stop assuming people are being more aggressive than they are, etc, and de-escalate rather than lashing out. I'd love that. Thank you so much ! I am starting to see it... I don't really know about BPD but I'll definitely do some internet research. Btw I sent an e-mail to a therapist in my area earlier. She uses mindfulness practices and she just answered to ask me if we could talk on the phone "to see if she can help me". I'm at work but I'm thinking about taking a break to call her right now.

Yep, I've been thinking that too. I hope that I can get rid of it before it blossoms into full abusive mode which I feel could happen because of a previous LTR where I was showing so many red flags (I didn't know about the concept but I was 10x worse with my ex). I hope this is not something set in stone. I'll work in finding a good therapist asap !

I'll give you yesterday's example because it shows really good how stupid I am : We were having a great time at a café with my father and my SO, we were talking about the Danemark and why people over there seem to be really happy. I started to get excited because I found out about the "hygge" concept not too long ago, and started speaking loudly for them to give attention to what I was saying. "I'm sorry for my general attitude lately". Hug, leave it at that. Oh and to clarify, I don't seek personal validation in my relationship. I seek true love and trust, someone I can be my true self with, share the doubts and the certainties, share the same goal and building together the path to it. As for everything else - take what you want and leave the rest, your relationships aren't doomed simply because you have some reservations about swallowing TRP. I couldn't agree more. Would you so selfishly be unwilling to give up your independence to mother your children or build a family with a man? No I wouldn't. But having children is not part of my life goals. If it happens, and I know very well it can, I would sacrifice that for my children. For now though, I think I will be childless (and also know that my mind can change anytime about that anytime) and I'm happy with that decision.

But I insist that your independence is mostly irrelevant when it comes to optimizing sexual strategy. I can understand, originally you didn't precise that it was for sexual optimization purposes and I didn't get it. Being independent is my life goal, optimizing my sexual strategy is not. As for the rest you said, I'm generally very wary of extremes. Like I said, I agree with you to a certain extent. I agree with you said to a certain extent. Yes, biology is the essence of human beings and yes, if I lived 50k years ago, my fertility would be my greatest value as a woman. I feel like today's society has evolved, not necessarily in a good way, but the ability to do my nails or wear girly dresses didn't mean shit to the cave man that wanted me to be desirable and fertile. Fascinating Womanhood, the title appeals to me. The other two not so much, I'll give this one a try ! I always liked how literature pictured women. Most poets do a great job at making us fantasize about muses with them. I was always attracted to that "great woman behind a great man". When I was younger, my goal was to become the "femme fatale" kind, the woman that everyone would turn their heads to, and not solely because of looks but because of that "aura", "vibe", whatever you call it, that we…

Yes, knowledge can't hurt, and I feel that by reading different opinions and ideologies, one can only grow. For example, I know that I kind of fit into the "boss ass bitch" stereotype, and I have to learn to leave my leadership nature at the door when I come home to my SO. He's really good with me, and sometimes I guess I'm unnecessarily mean and/or bossy with him. I will definitely try hard not to from now on. I guess it's the part where women control "the sex gates" and men the "relationship gates". I feel like my value as a person is not defined by my gender, I don't necesserally want a "manly man" that thinks I should look pretty, cook and clean for him. Don't get me wrong, of course I want to look pretty, be a great cook and live in a clean home, but I don't want that to be the main reason my SO loves me. I want him to love my conversation, some of my interests, even some of my flaws if possible. …

Childless yes, but not single. Independent in the sense that I provide for myself and don't rely on anyone (especially a man) to survive. I am on a self-improvement journey, that's how I found this sub, and I'm trying to get a grasp of it. I don't necessarilly agree that "it's not for me" since what I got from the description and intro posts is that the concept is more biological than ideological. edit : grammar
