Fair. I’ll probably do it with whatever my carrier weighs with plates in it. I didn’t mean to shame you for wanting to complete it. It’s a solid effort.

It’s usually always about blowing smoke up each other’s asses and inflating egos with online bragging. The Memorial Day virtue signaling social media bullshit always gets me. Half the dudes wearing the stupid plate carriers in pictures probably didn’t even complete the workout. Do more, say less. I complete my workouts every day for me, no one else, I don’t tell people I did them, I just do them. If you’ve lost people like most of us have and it helps to do memorial workouts then hell yeah, do i…

It’s air squats, not crunches, and you should be wearing a weight vest. If you’re gonna do it, do it. Don’t post about doing it, don’t tell people you’re going to do it, don’t tell people you did it, just fucking do it.

Ohhhh that makes way more sense.

If you do it with some intensity, sure. Many cyclists are fat because they don’t do shit. Walking is just existence and, as I said, it’s not cardio. Make excuses and downvote me all you want, you’re the one that’s fat.

“I've wanted to add more to my workouts but then I realized I haven't been consistent with 3x per week for a while. So I made it a point to hit every workout last week. I've stalled a little bit on my bench press, so I need to find out how to get past the plateau. My weight has stalled for two weeks. I was traveling the last two weekends for birthdays and events. I used that as an excuse to not eat on plan. I'm not traveling for a few weeks so I can put effort in to building better habits that s…

Okay. Maybe I’m missing something. Where are you guys getting these off the wall ass numbers for your lifts. 303? 347? 2 plates and 35s is 295, 3 plates is 315, you’re telling me you have 2 45’s, 35’s, and what? 3.5s? That’s not a thing. Are you using fractional plates? And if so why?

OYS 12 32 | 6’1” | 214LBS – 10ish% BF Separated/Divorced - no kids Lifts- Heavy You fuckers banned me, but in hindsight you had a point. So I’m back. I think one of my many mental issues is I still have this internalized idea that somehow my life must be guided by the partner I choose. I justify this to myself because I very much want kids, thus I tell myself an integral part of my journey has to be selecting/finding a worthy partner. In that pursuit I end up lost in this obsession over women, m…

This is my assessment. If that’s all you’ve got going on and you’re skinny as fuck it’s unimpressive. If you’re huge and still have defined abs, it’s doubly impressive, much like a petite chick with gigantic knockers.
/r/MarriedRedPill26/04/22 07:10 PM

And I would add those defined abs are only visible in the most extreme downlighting, I would expect under normal conditions those aren’t even visible.

OYS 11 32 | 6’1” | 214LBS – 10ish% BF Separated/Divorced - no kids Lifts- Heavy Missed last week because life has been a shit show. Ex is now dating again. I briefly lost my shit over this, weak. I have no logical reason to even be mad about it given that I’ve slept with like…a lot of women since we split, but it none the less got to me, clearly demonstrating I’m not yet where I should be. I “retaliated” by sleeping with this really hot younger waitress that used to be our regular waitress at ou…

What he meant to say is your workout routine is fucking stupid and you look like shit for your age. You’re doing WAY too much abs and arm shit. Your run is slow, so I don’t know why you even bother mentioning it, are you running to be fast or just for cardio? If you just want cardio there are much better options, if you’re trying to actually be a runner you need to actually create a program to work that instead of just running the same slow 4 miles every day. It’s not convenient to go to the gym…

Not to mention there’s a definite cognitive benefit in addition to the obvious muscle output stuff. Whatever online calculator you’re using is retarded. Just take 5-10g a day.

I’d also like to add, anecdotally, that I think diet has a huge impact on your overall hygiene. It seems to me that any time I let my diet slide and eat excessive sugar/processed bullshit I just get more disgusting. My sweat smells worse, my skin looks worse, everything just goes downhill. I see SO many dudes in the gym that just fucking exude “my last meal was a bowl of lucky charms” vibes. Garbage in, garbage out.

Absolutely. Granted I try to maintain as natural a protocol as possible. I don’t cycle. I just take a healthy (read:excessive) TRT dose (150/week). Nonetheless rocking >1000 ng/dL is an absolute game changer, ESPECIALLY in terms of staying lean. I can fast like crazy, do an insane amount of cardio, and I still retain and put on muscle pretty easily. I am very strict with what I eat, but not how much I eat. I average around 4,000 Cals a day and still stay this lean, which I love. I HIGHLY recomme…

I’d be interested to read more on their journeys. We live in such a fucked society that it’s hard for me to see alternative pathways clearly. Definitely will check out the Unchained Man stuff. Definitely agree on your assessment of the military as a whole. I’m a pilot, I think I’ve already blown that cover at some point in here so fuck it. Re: your squat technique. These are called box squats. You can use a bench but just understand you’re cutting off the last 1/4 of the rep by shortening the ROM that much. It’s a good thing to program in but don’t rely on them solely. Stay on the program until it no longer produces results, just make sure you’re increasing the weight every week for a set number of weeks before you deload and restart. Lifting doesn’t need to be complex, it just needs to effectively program in progressive overload …

Yeah that’s probably fair. I’m not clearing it out completely but I’m getting beyond tired of juggling to the degree I have been. Mainly I just want to drastically increase the quality because it’s more fulfilling for me. It’s been a continual process of realizing I’m settling hard. A few months ago I got kind of serious with this girl who was an absolute ten, was really wealthy, had an amazing job, etc. Similar situation in a lot of ways, ex was a pro athlete and I worked for it but successfull…

Funny how that works. I do. If you had asked me that 2 years ago I would’ve said it centered completely around “having a family” and my wife’s behavior and all that kind of corollary bullshit. David Deida’s stuff, although a bit difficult to access due to the language and the fog of spirituality surrounding it, was really helpful in this regard. Agreed. I don’t know the best way to address that. I have ALWAYS been like this. I derive a ton of self esteem from the attention I get from women. I know it’s fucked but I don’t know how best to address it. I want to do whatever I can to be less stuck on my ex, but I also don’t want to just supplant that with this unhealthy desire to have women all over me.

Yeah, I really fucked myself in this regard. I moved out of the house without any legal papers. Then she had some drafted after the fact that were absolutely comical. So now I’m in the process of getting those revised to something that even remotely makes sense. My plan was to move back into the house that my name is on that I’m paying for and to not move out until we actually have something finalized that will force the sale of the house. I wanna work through my shit with myself without using women as a crutch. We do have 7+ years of history that makes staying with her seem convenient and safe and comforting, maybe my vision is being distorted by that. I want to give her a chance to be the wife I wanted her to be all along. I want to see how things are when I’m actually in a good place and being the man I want to be. She certainly has her faults but what I’m realizing months after I decided to move out is that I blamed her for shit that was on me. The reality is that she is an easy 9/10 who makes very good money, was always loyal as shit, moved all over creation for my job, and supported every relatively insane career endeavor I’ve undertaken. If we end up divorced I’m at peace with it, but I don’t want it to be because I bailed to avoid dealing with my own shit. I can find plenty of younger women that will …

That’s the problem, I’m half assing that effort. It’s easy as shit to find girls that are 7s and 8s who want me, but generally speaking they leave a lot to be desired in terms of personality/intelligence/etc. I’m staying off dating apps because one of my wife’s friends will undoubtedly see me on there and we are still married. If I really went full bore into the dating scene I know I could find a girl who would rival my wife eventually, but I’m never going to find anyone who can touch her when I…

I definitely don’t fuck with all of them regularly but at any point I could call any of those 8 or 9 and it would happen. There are 3 that I see the most, there’s another 3 that text me every weekend relatively late like clockwork and that’s all it ever is, the other two will very sporadically hit me up and I respond like half the time.
