Here in America, no woman was "forced" to get married. It was strongly recommended that they did for family reasons, but they didn't have to if they didn't want to. Here's my issue with the term "settle" when it comes to relationships: People like to set their standards super high when they're looking for a partner. For the entitled, it's all superficial.
