I was charged with public intoxication. I didn't do anything else. It's a college town and the cops arrest drunk kids as a revenue stream. A university must decide who to accept as students and who to reject. These are the standards that are different for girls in the case presented in the article. This has nothing whatsoever to do with the courses in the curriculum, and passing those courses is required to get the degree. None of that is different. It's still an illogical way to categorize crimes. The lasting effects vary greatly between victims of even very similar crimes, so it's not a good way to group crimes. While I agree that a definition for alpha or beta is hard to pin down, your definition of beta is completely off base. Being a good provider is different than thinking that buying a girl things will make her want to date you. In general, TRPers believe that racial groups are genetically somewhat different, physically and to some extent cognitively. Think about it like this: If you and I were gay and in a relationship, completely secure with our orientation, we would still have to worry about people passing judgement when we told them about our relationship, right? That's where I'm at with this situation. I'm secure about the relationship, but the responses I've gotten have made me hesitate to tell other people (it's a relatively recent thing). I'm well aware that it's pretty insignificant. I don't care, but the people who know about our age difference have responded very negatively, which I didn't really anticipate. Well, let's say an 18 year old girl and a 50 year old man enter a relationship. At least in the US, where I live, people who knew about the situation would assume the older man was taking advantage of the young girl and so the relationship would be wrong on moral grounds. I don't think it's too much to ask for. You're certainly lowering the amount available women up to your standards by saying you want a low partner count, but you can ask for someone who doesn't drink alcohol or even ingest caffeine by any means. It's just your own personal standards. If you have those standards then start trying to shame others for not adhering to them, then it's unreasonable.

I think the issue is that AWALT, taken at face value, isn't a generalization. If I say all golden retrievers are dogs then I'm saying you will never show me a golden retriever that isn't a dog, which is true. Using the mindset that women are generally "like that" isn't wrong if you're being cautionary. Saying that AWALT and WAGLT (women are generally like that) are equivalent is just false.
