I think you maybe identified with your weight more than he did. He married you at a bigger size and still stuck with you (as other commenters have said), but now you’re smaller and he likes it! Imagine if the weight were a t shirt. He married you when you wore yellow because it wasn’t about the shirt. It was the person in it. Then you started wearing red and it wasn’t his favorite, but you’re still you so he’s gonna be faithful. Now all of a sudden you decided to wear pink and he goes, “Woah! I …

Wait… he accepts your blowjobs, but doesn’t like to give you any foreplay? There’s something wrong here.

Based on your post and comments she sounds pretty awkward. If she doesn’t have parents or someone close to her you feel comfortable confiding in (so they can talk to her about her behavior) unfortunately, I feel like the only solution is to slowly ghost her out of your life. Talk to her less and less until she eventually gets the hint. It’s harsh, but sometimes, in life, people just don’t mesh. And sometimes you can’t really just tell a person, “Hey, you’re nice, but I don’t wanna be your friend…

Can’t be a SAHM yet as I’m not married, so I’m a nanny. And I love it. I used to have office jobs and hated it.

Don’t spend any more time with this man. It will be wasted and stagnate your progression. I’ve made mistakes from past narcs with my current bf and although it’s tested him he has only acted like himself. Rational. Even if he’s upset, he doesn’t blow up. Get the f out of this relationship.

Also a good point. It really does come down to the person.

And in regards on how I found him, it just so happened to be Bumble, so sheer dumb luck. But I was also getting into going to church (was nowhere near religious before). I thought saying things like, “Worship Satan,” was edgy and cute. But when I came home I felt church would help me because everything felt hopeless. And although I didn’t meet my SO at church he comes from a church going family. I think it would be a good place to look for a partner imo. It would also be a helpful place to gain …

Well, my husband was mentally abusive and would use rage tactics to scare me into submission. Once I found out he cheated and also that he was pansexual I realized enough was enough. I hit a wall that for me personally was the last straw. He fired a gun in the house and I knew I would be a bad human for creating life and raising it with this man. I thought about the kind of influence he would be, what kinds of daughters and sons he would create with his moral stature and the amount of disconnect…

What I do is give myself a time frame. Sometimes my anxieties are cyclical. If I have anxiety about my bf, I’ll give myself until the next morning to review how I feel. If I still feel emotionally distraught enough to not know what to do, I’ll either go to the gym, give myself until the end of the day, or write my feelings out. At some point I’ll have untangled my thoughts and am not in such an emotional state. At this point it’s easier to be logical and decide how I want to proceed. Sometimes I…

Dude, who cares what you seem like to them? They obviously don’t care about you if they’re wishy washy. Block ‘em.

I had a crossroads like this, I chose to marry him and ultimately wasted more time. He cheated and mentally abused me by not properly taking responsibility and not working on being better. I left him at 27 and am now 29 so I sorta know where you’re at. I thought I had nothing left to offer, and the thought of starting over felt completely and utterly hopeless. I was so distraught I thought about killing myself almost daily (not saying this to get pity, I’m trying to tell you where I was so you k…

I dated someone like that. I wish I had good advice for you, but honestly, there’s a good chance that characteristic is engrained in them from childhood experiences, or simply their DNA. Not only does he have to be right, you must subscribe to his way of thinking as well. And I’m sure if you tried to explain your plight regarding your unease about this, he’ll probably have a difference of opinion and… well, you know where I’m going with this. Best of luck to you, friendo.

It doesn’t specify, but it’s clear that OP was fine with her decision to go out. Perhaps he was invited and he simply declined. Whatever the case, OP was aware of the outing and clearly okay with it.

You just go even when you don’t. Motivation gets you started, but commitment is what is the glue. You don’t just stop going to work because you’re not excited about your new job anymore, do you? No, you go because it’s a standard that you have for yourself. Your standard is to go to work and not be a homeless person even when you don’t FEEL like going to work. And even if you get to the gym and all you do is go on the treadmill, that’s fine!!! The only BAD workout is one you didn’t do at all. Yo…

Hahaha your Latina part made me chuckle. Love this and approve this message. It’s such a beautiful cycle to feel good biologically, and then to have that validation reignite from your partner is SO empowering!!! Yas, girl, yas!!! Wish we could lift together! 🏋🏻‍♀️

Guys with access to many pretty girls aren’t typically the best long term mates anyway. Find a nice guy you’re attracted to who can support a family but wants to live humbly. That’s my best advice.

Read How to Win Friends and Influence People. Did wonders for me and helps in any social setting NO MATTER WHAT. If you don’t wanna read the entire book, read the main bullets and apply them. It does take practice, but wow, the feeling of comfortability and control you have in a conversation is such a priceless feeling.

I’ve totally had this happen just by being generally nice to people in public services. It’s crazy how rude and selfish people mostly are.

I’m gonna a get checked out, but this really resonated with me. I feel like I’ve been on a good trajectory for the last few months. Maybe I am just getting a little burnt out. Still sucks. 😞 Thank you, though!

Yeah, I’ve definitely been considering that, thank you! Not really sure what to say when I go in though. Do I ask for a blood test? I feel like the doctor could recommend anything and it may not be what I need. I guess I feel a little overwhelmed in figuring out what I would need checked if that makes sense?

I know what your post means. It doesn’t mean being a slave, it’s about making your man feel cherished this weekend. So that includes treating him to beautiful sex, and attempting to fulfill his wishes and making him feel relaxed and comfortable. There’s nothing wrong with that. You go, girl. He sounds like a great guy if you’re so in tune with how you’d like to spoil him. :)

Hey, all. Have popped in and out of here now and again looking for advice, inspiration, and the like, but I’ve been feeling a little lost the past couple of weeks. I’ve been moving forward with my job, going to to gym and looking very toned (I’m already slender, so the abs and such are a nice feeling!), plus, I’m in a new relationship that has been more rewarding than I could imagine. What I’ve been struggling with is this sort of lethargy and brain fog. I was getting up at 6:00 every day to hit…
