OYS - Where Progress is Made (07/19/21)Physical: Decided to play basketball at the hotspot park for 7 hours two weeks ago. As you can imagine, my knees have been reminding me of my dumb decision ever since. Decided to go back to the 5x5 program in the gym as I wasn't happy with the numbers I've been putting up recently, but my body has been in all sorts lately. Due to patella issues, squats have really taken a hit, but everywhere else is seeing small strength gains. Daily stretching and icing of these sores is proving beneficial. Deliver uber eats in my free time for income. Live with my parents. -PHYSICAL: Thank the Lord, the gym finally came. Got it installed ASAP and I must say, it's one of the best investment both dad and I have ever made. We've been consistently following a 4 day split and it's been extremely encouraging to lift heavy stuff with the man who brought me into this wor… | /r/RPChristians | 17/06/21 06:53 AM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (06/14/21)Thanks for sharing that heavy info, I'm sorry to hear sir. I don't know the first thing about marriage being 21, but I do know we are to lay our lives down for our spouses. Could I challenge you to try lay your life down in 3 ways to your wife this week? I'm not talking about doing covert contracts to appear 'nice', just 3 things that you WANT to do that you haven't done before or in a long time to just make life that bit easier for you wife. God bless. | /r/RPChristians | 17/06/21 06:31 AM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (06/14/21)Thanks for the update brother. Just curious, was your wife like this on the arrival of your first born? Do you believe the stress of the move is having an affect too? | /r/RPChristians | 14/06/21 10:03 PM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (05/26/21)Well glory to God for putting it in your heart to change that mindset sir, unfortunately a lot of men coming from similar backgrounds to you don't share the revelation you've had. I guess that's why Obama being the first 'black' president was so significant. Because for you, someone who is trying to see past colour, it can be quite frustrating have to hear black people continuously shove it in your face, but you have to understand a lot of people still have the racist mindset you've worked to er… | /r/RPChristians | 30/05/21 07:48 AM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (05/26/21)Ahhh you've got me here. You're definitely right sir. I've always justified that form of pride as acceptable because the circumstances aren't always ideal for men who look like me, but as you've highlighted in the passage, it nearly always leads to discord among for the brethren who don't look like me. Appreciated. | /r/RPChristians | 29/05/21 10:22 AM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (05/26/21)This is a good plan as long as you stick to it. For sure, will definitely be praying for consistency here. Amen! Try to start the reading before the gym equipment arrives, so you have a good habit established already and you can build on it. We already read devotionals and pray as a family every morning so this should be a very natural transition. We'll still plan to pray with the family after we do our own bible study. You might also consider trying an MSM supplement to help with the inflam… | /r/RPChristians | 29/05/21 04:48 AM

University student. Deliver uber eats in my free time for income. Live with my parents. - PHYSICAL: Cancelled my gym membership this week. Dad and I just ordered a home gym online so it should be coming in within the next week. We used to go to the gym every morning together at 6 but the drive there was 20 minutes each way and it would often leave dad pret… | /r/RPChristians | 28/05/21 12:30 AM |
Real quick question.I’d disagree with you here @arjungmenon. Although worded quite abrasively, I agree with Osmium. I’m an African male myself and my ex girlfriend was white Australian. Although we both were not believers at the time, the cultural differences were enourmous whilst dating. In my culture, we are very community focused. Relatives call/pop in unannounced and are welcome anytime. We are very blunt people and will say things as they are - not out of rudeness, but we just see no point in beating around th… | /r/RPChristians | 21/05/21 01:46 PM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (05/05/21)Thanks for the response sir, greatly appreciated. As for my injuries, I’ve researched a fair bit into it. My diet is heavy on fruit and veg and I take supplements daily. It’s definitely overuse. Realised going to the gym everyday and playing basketball every second day isn’t doing my knees any good so I’ve had to cut back in the gym. As for the lady, I made my intentions clear from the get go that I don’t hang out with girls one on one unless I have a purposeful reason to do so. It’s more so the… | /r/RPChristians | 14/05/21 10:48 AM
OYS - Where Progress is Made (05/05/21)STATS: 21, 6'4, 180-pounds, Uni student, DL 440, SQT 352, BP 210, single PHYSICAL: Haven't been in the gym much the past week or so. I've been playing a lot of basketball recently and it's been insanely taxing on the legs. I've justified workouts in the gym as workouts on the court but I'm definitely losing some size and definition. Still thankful to God for the body I have but injuries are really holding me back from my potential. Been stretching almost daily at this point to try mitigate the p… | /r/RPChristians | 05/05/21 10:27 AM

Trying a lot of home remedy options such as icing and stretching but the pain is still persevering. Really frustrating in the gym and basketball as I'm underperforming from what I know I'm capable of. Feeling convicted lately on wearing tank tops at the gym. I harp on about how lustful and distracting women's clothing is at the… | /r/RPChristians | 20/04/21 12:56 PM |
What does it mean to be "fruitful?"Sounds like you’ve had a difficult childhood man. Don’t downplay the effect that it has had on you. I looked at your post history and seems like your parents are divorced. I’m going to make a lot of assumptions here but subconsciously, your mind will associate love with pain, heartache and trauma as I’m guessing that’s what you experienced when you watched the whole divorce process. Shuttling between mum and dads, hearing the arguing. Probably being in the middle of fights. These have all condit… | /r/askRPC | 20/02/21 02:06 AM
What does it mean to be "fruitful?"Appreciate your openness and honesty man. There’s a saying along the lines of “once the internal monster if defeated, no external monsters can do any harm to you”. For your case, I’d say the external are challenges of life and the internal is that devil on your shoulder. That voice that constantly seems to justify why negativity is the only option in life. You gotta start by killing that voice man. The only way to do that (as with anything) is to let God give you the strength and discernment req… | /r/askRPC | 19/02/21 02:16 AM
What does it mean to be "fruitful?"I’d say your issue isn’t with success but it’s with contentness and comparison. Don’t get me wrong, earning 6 figures, looking jacked, having a beautiful woman and excelling in your field of expertise are all great things, but absence of these things does not equate to failure or lack of success. If you look for someone who’s more talented, funny, attractive, wealthy, godlier than yourself, you’re bound to find them. It’s more so about looking back 2 years, months, weeks or hours ago and appreci… | /r/askRPC | 18/02/21 06:04 AM
