Attractiveness is deeply subjective. A person might find height attractive until they meet an undesirable aspect of their beliefs, or their behaviour, and so-on. Nothing cope about that.

So you don't care about intellectual honesty and will continue to interrogate us with stupid generalizations... Got it.

How intellectually dishonest do you have to be in order to lecture others about what they think...

It is completely and entirely pointless. You will only frustrate yourself and waste your time. Refutation is for those who are arguing honestly and in good faith. Redpillers are generally the antithesis of this.

A scientific study can lack credibility in many different ways. My point is more about the person making the claims, and citing the studies. Be skeptical of people who cherrypick data and questionable studies for the sake of bullying you into an idealogy and agenda.
/r/ExRedPill13/07/22 06:06 PM

"Evidence" is whatever cherry picked and biased studies and data that fits the RedPill idealogy. Science isn't non-partisan in controversial subjects like evolutionary psychology until proven otherwise.

And this argument would be: Intellectually dishonest and arrogant, as it assumes that the one making the argument knows what is best for all of these people. Assuming the RedPill, commodified, dehumanizing, and objectifying perspective on dating and value is valid and should be adopted.

You can't refute dogmatism. Stop trying to find a counter-argument to people who will humiliate and bully you irrespective of your objectivity and rationality.

I'm a man so I think I know what toxic masculinity is, Most men haven't looked into and studied feminist critique with the slightest bit of honesty and interest. So no, you being male doesn't mean you understand toxic masculinity itself. Its true that certain forms of confidence can be toxic, but confidence alone isn't toxic.
/r/ExRedPill08/07/22 03:45 PM

A large part of being a man is being able to disassociate yourself from others to whatever degree that you need. Treat others how you want to be treated and only concern yourself with those that return such respect. Its not about being some super amazing alpha fantasy man. Its about being comfortable in your own skin. Try not to externalize yourself like you are.

I'm sorry, was that supposed to refute something?

Bluring all the different stages of a pregnancy together as "it's a baby" isn't science. You are dictating the rights of others on the basis of your feelings of disgust and discomfort. That's not how ethics work.
/r/ExRedPill04/07/22 10:58 PM

Then I guess they should have been more responsible with their sex lives. How is holding people responsible unpredictable complications a fair conclusion to you? In what world are you qualified enough to be voting on what other people can and can't do?

Just remember that what you have internalized is a dogmatic idealogy. Its "truthness" in tone is rhetoric designed to manipulate you. Also, the bright side here is that you now have a crystal clear understanding of how certain kinds of abusive men work, so you know what to look for and what to avoid.

What exactly is your definition of toxic? Harmful and degenerative to ones mental health, character, perspective, and then, ultimately, behavior. I'm not saying there aren't idiotic communities that pervert TRP No true Scotsman. You are the equivalent of feminists who say TERFs aren't really feminists in order to clear the name of feminism. You don't get to conveniently just handwaved away the toxic outcomes of your idealogy will preaching something convient and cherry picked.

Nobody can help someone who doesn't want to be helped. And nobody can make a liar tell the honest truth.

It seems like you're going through a lot of mental gymnastics to correlate two things that aren't related. It seems like your using trivial nitpicking to deflect from the point I made. You've refuted nothing. The simplest explaination is that you are a dishonest, bad-faith redpiller with an agenda to push.

Cherry picking common sense advice is a common manipulation made in defence of the RedPill. You aren't fooling anybody with this.

Anyone who has a lot of experience in these threads would know otherwise. Plenty of people here have been down the RedPill rabbit hole

I can already tell you're the type to make excuses when you have to face the harsh realities of life. You think this blatant manipulation is going to fool anybody? You don't have the first fucking clue about how psychology works. You can't refute a damn thing, as evidence in this thread. If you really care about helping men, do us all a favor and delete your account.

All that your doing is insisting on what's said "in the sidebar" and ignoring the actual material manifestations: the toxic communities, grifters, and pundits that surround it and are caused by it. You aren't fooling anybody with your smug air of presumed objectivity

TRP is not inherently sexist. It was YOU who was sexist. T Also, this misunderstands the human condition. We don't have Libertarian free will where we can just absolutely choose how things affect us. We internalize our environment, and our trauma's can distort and derange the mind. The only thing we can do is choose to get help when we need it and have strong mental boundaries about what you internalize.

Its a bit hyperbolic, but it's true. If you, or a aggregate movement and idealogy, walks someone up right to the point of radicalization and then gives them a little push, then there is responsibility for the following outcomes. You don't need to tell people to be sexist, you can just distort their view while denying it with a facade of pseudo objectivity. You don't need to tell people are Incels, you can just create toxic misconceptions about dating and people's value so they naturally sort the…

TRP is not inherently sexist. It was YOU who was sexist. TRP does not teach to be abusive. This is like I'm going to give you a gun, convince you the other side is out to get you and destroy your way of life, walk you right up to them, but I'm not gunna tell you to shoot them. Redpill is a reactionary echo chamber that deeply radicalizes vulnerable men through the distortion of their world view and exploitation of insecurity. Redpill isn't just "the sidebar". Its the average nature of the commun…

We aren't interested in your semantic games. What you say you are, and what you actually are, aren't the same thing. You can frame it however you like, it doesn't refute the material, degenerate, dangerous reality of what Redpill is in practice.

“Facist” Aka someone that doesn’t agree you. Fascism is a complex phenomena that advances in increments. Nazi Germany didn't flip to Hitler overnight. It also manifests differently each time it occurs. Its not a silly term you throw at someone for mere disagreements. Stop being obtuse. If you’re saying abortion is a “right” where is it in the constitution ? Constitutional originalism isn't a utilitarian, and therefore an ethical, direction to take the American government. The constitution lays t…

Evopsych isn't a pseudoscience. The vast majority of evopsych you see online, however, is. Atleast, that's my experience, which makes me skeptical of any evopsych claims from random people on the internet that have an agenda to push.

Because anyone with an objective understanding of the field knows that it gets misused horrendously, at a very widespread degree, to justify preconceived or cherry picked conclusions (see: Redpill basing deeply sexist beliefs on the worst examples of women's behavior they can find). Its not something clear cut and uncontroversial like Physics or Mathematics.

Be more critical and skeptical of how internalizing culture and society can affect and control your mind. Culture and idealogy can manufacture and artificially create desperation within ourselves. Is it that you need a relationship to properly be an adult? Or is it that your attachments and desires, identification with your wishful thinking, is creating conflict within yourself? Yes, society can be quite lookist, but you can find people that aren't if you hold lookism critically, instead of subm…

Been there, done that. You have a lot going for you though. Imagine who you'd be if you didn't have the awareness to acknowledge that there was something wrong happening here. I hope you find a good therapist one day to talk this out with. It can change your life!

Acknowledging the full humanity of women means acknowledging they can posses any range of characteristics and perspectives. Sure, there are are narcissists who let attention go to their head. Contradiction is also true to. Etc. Put more effort into keeping your depression, nihilism, and insecurities from developing into confirmation bias.

Alpha and Beta aren't a dichotomy. There are positive and negative forms of power, dominance, and independence, and there are positive and negative forms of submission and dependency. That's what I'd tell him. The biggest thing TRP gets wrong is that it's either 100% one way or another, when they don't realize that being alpha in certain ways can actually be very annoying, fake, or off putting to others. Most people don't think a big bully is super hot.

Who cares? Idealogues will spout whatever dogma they want, it's not on you to disprove it. Critique it, and if they don't listen, move on. Also, the "top 2%" is extremely relative and subjective to an individual person, especially in terms of what a person has access to.

Immature, manipulative narcissism. That's a large part of RP's description of 'female nature'. Money and Clout That gets people's attention, but it's not going to make a well rounded, self respecting women settle for a domineering sexist.
/r/ExRedPill14/02/22 08:08 PM
2

There are absolutely women who might go along with that. Maybe he will find some incredibly rare, submissive little unicorn. Or maybe he'll attract all the negative and wrong things RP describes in the women they discuss. Maybe he'll attract someone as manipulative and as bigoted as he is. Or he'll attract negative attention for his sexist dogma. And so-on. Overtly and openly sexist RPers take themselves out of the competition.

People like him will be unattractive to everyone that doesn't fit their narrow, rigid views, and only attract people that do fit in it, hypergamy and all. It's impossible to reason with that degree of confirmation bias. Best to move on.

I think the subjectivity of what the end point of an Alpha is should be acknowledged. One person's confident is another person's arrogant, and so-on.

You can't reason someone out of a position they don't want to be reasoned out of. Red Pill is an idealogy. It's based on some valid question, but it's spun into this gigantic echo chamber of pseudo science, dogma, and arrogant negativity. That said, you can look here

I guess I just see alpha as something that can be a spectrum of positive or negative things, depending on a variety of factors.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/02/22 06:15 PM
1

I think an issue people have with this concept is they conceive Alpha and Beta as some black and white type ordeal. You're either 100% alpha or beta. It's not like that. Alpha and Beta are both spectrums that exist simultaneously, and people can have good traits from both spectrums: Listening to others well > Positive Beta Caring for your children > Positive Beta Taking responsibility for your self worth > Positive Alpha. And so-on. Generally, people like those that have good mix of positive alp…

Screaming at these people that they aren't entitled to anything and that they are disgusting isn't going to change alot, imo. Granted, some Incels are too far gone, but like, many wind up there for a reason. We should address those reasons, not just the end result.

If you critique me you must be one of those bad guys as well Does the term 'bad faith' mean anything to you?
/r/ExRedPill14/02/22 04:01 PM

Chicken and the egg. Some of these Incels might truly be born psychopaths, but others are pushed into it by their life experiences, trauma, and maladaptive coping mechanisms that result from being exposed to the echo chamber of the dark, more extreme side of male gender politics (manosphere stuff). To the latter, screaming at them that "you aren't entitled to anything" is both incorrect at a technical level (what about the right to life, for instance), but is also kind of ineffective. You are co…

More like masculine men who are just fine with toxic traits and refuse to change. God knows I've had to deal with a few of those, and man that is a pain in the ass. So I empathize with women with that just a bit. At the same time, women can be shit too. So like, you gotta balance it all in way that's atleast slightly positive leaning. Humans are a handful to figure out. But I guess the best form of masculinity I know is taking responsibility for your own self worth. Not externalizing it and weak…

I guess not every person views masculinity the same way as you do. Just a thought.
/r/ExRedPill31/01/22 05:54 AM

You could still critic that, but it would be picking at straws. What you are mentioning isn't bad on its face or inherintly, so we don't disagree.
/r/ExRedPill31/01/22 05:30 AM

Well alright. Why are they toxic though? The idea that gender ideals and gender roles bearing some causality isn't outlandish to me. But if I misread you, my bad.

Dominance itself is really broad, and can engender really problematic, bad, cringe things. Not wanting to be wrong in an argument can be a really disgusting and toxic form of masculinity. But all masculinity isn't bad. There is absolutely positive masculinity, and yeah... We should encourage that.

Toxic anything exists, dude. Toxic abusive men and women. How isn't that real dude?

Yes, in terms of sexism harming both men and women, and perpetuated by both men and women. No, in the sense that you should disassociate from people that measure others for something as shallow and insignificant as kill count. Many types of people in the world, and with many types of attitudes. Don't focus on the bottom, shitty 20%

Wanting to respect the boundaries of women and be socially calibrated makes you a typical US Billionaire? Plenty of women already know what it's like to be invisible for not fitting men's high standards of attractiveness. Also, teach men how to be independent and not base their sense of self on getting a women. It's weak.
